I am beyond caring about the VH saga. I got my own shit to worry about. Sammy and Eddie are not going to wish me a happy 50th birthday in a few years and I will hopefully get over it.

I do think that the brothers should have sent something to Mike about his grandson but then again when did they hear about it? I mean you would think Dave would pass it on but these guys may just be on the links with George Lopez.

Did Sammy wish Eddie a speedy recovery when he had his colon ripped out? Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were the best of friends but then hated each other. Took a death and some prodding for one of them to suck it up and write the other. If it means that much to Sammy pick up the phone. Its obvious that Eddie doesn't give a shit so maybe he needs to convince why he should give a shit.

I doubt Ed can boot up a computer much less keep track of the works
Itís not like the brothers have ever done anything to or fir anyone on a personal level like a birthday message or even reaching out over Mikes grandson
I just had a birthday two days ago, and you know what? A few people didnít wish me a happy birthday. I didnít take to Facebook to say WTF, you know our buddy Johnny just died, why you send no birthday wishes
I think itís funny that anyone, including Sam, should decide on who the brothers should have a heart to heart with or send condolences
Do I believe Mike earned that kind of respect? I do, but Iím also not Ed or Al and I wonít project what they should or shouldnít do

    So to sum up Sam

Honestly, this disgusted me, because it's Mike's place to bitch about not getting condolences, it's none of Sammy's fucking business.

He's a former VH singer, so has a big ego and a big mouth. Part of the job requirement. They once tried a singer without a big ego, and it was a total failure.

VS, you wrote "I have heard the focus on CF next year has hit some issues of late, too" - can you elaborate? WE do need some more CF.

No matter if it's DLR or Hagar, Van Halen is a nostalgia band now. Maybe not even a nostalgia band because they don't tour anymore. Eddie is the musical heart of VH and he is no longer hungry - he lost the eye of the tiger...lol. Without Eddie there is no VH.

I don't think they could match the magic they once had unless Eddie gets off the couch and starts writing with attitude. He's settled down, like most of us, and it's unrealistic to think he has the same mindset that he had 20 years ago. Van Halen will always be my favorite band but let's be honest, it will never be the same unless something changes.

The only mention of the Hagar era was an off-handed remark from Eddie that those songs were "off to college."

Not to mention that the 6-pack was remastered a 2nd time, while the 4 Hagar-era albums collect dust.
As a VH fan who whines a lot about the band not acting like normal bands and releasing SOMETHING in the way of product...I gotta extend some sympathy to Van Hagar fans. There is actually a fanbase who has it worse than Van Halen fans! That's pretty painful.

Lol, Sam continues to give me more reasons to dislike him even more. Still listen to the albums, of course, but Thank God the douche will likely never share the stage with VH again.

Pretty sure my mom didn't wish my dad a happy birthday when he turned 70 last year.

They're divorced. My dad didn't call me whining about it.

My mom turned 70 in September. Dad didn't call her either. Mom didn't say anything to me either.

Quit being a baby Sam. They don't like you. And your behavior reinforces why they don't like you.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

Well we know two things, because of this interview:

    1. The Van Hagar reunion will not happen in this lifetime.

    2. Michael Anthony will not be part of the expected 40th anniversary tour.

And, due to point number two, now i highly question any sort of 40th anniversary
    tour.

Sam sounds like this stuff really has gotten him down.
He's fixated on the brothers, like the guy who "moved on" from his ex, yet still
    obsesses over her on Facebook.

He's become so whiney about it, i actually feel a little badly for him.

You go back in time, the dawn of 5150, and the guys were in love with each other.
He must revisit those times in his mind & think, What happened?

It obviously bothers him a great deal.

My thoughts exactly. Same with Sam bringing up Mike's pay cut a few years ago. Fight your own battle's Sam.

Mike could of reached out with Mom Van Halen died too but he didn't, so I dont blame Ed or Al one bit. Nice of Sammy to bring it up though and get a dig at Roth at the same time...
