All the Celtics had to do was make their damn dunks and layups and they win by 20. 15 combined missed dunks and layups, then how many of them turned into quick transition points by Cleveland?

It's definitely a good sign for Celtics. Also...how many times is Korver going to give them 3 blocked shots?

But I think it's about the Celtics defense. They somehow forgot how to play defense on the Cavs support players on the road. I have to assume the Cavs role players will go back to struggling in Boston and the Celtics win with ease.

After seeing three Finals against the greatest shooter ever, I am more scared of Thompson, Green and Durant because they all play D. They all can get buckets as well. Now being 4th best on a team with 4 HOF players isn't a bad thing. I just appreciate those others guys games a bit more than Curry'
Nobody here said Curry is the Best player in the NBA. In fact Couda and I both stated a few pages back it was LBJ, KD, then.....Curry on most nights.

What we disagree with is your assumption the Curry is the 4th best player on the Warriors. His historical offensive output out weighs his defensive shortcomings. While Green and Klay Thompson are very good all star players, they are not in the conversation with LBJ, KD and Curry as MVP type players.

I think the way that game went certainly lends some credence to the game going the other direction if played in Boston. Easily arguable that Cleveland isn't quite as hot, nor Boston quite as cold, at the Garden. Not to mention the calls.

On the other hand, just to keep a level of pessimism, Cleveland's guys are all vets, so they COULD catch fire like that on the road.

There are a lot of missed layups on both sides - in every game, in every series. Right now, these entire playoffs have been like the last minute of a game when it comes to the refs swallowing their whistles. Well, except if James is shooting, he gets touched and he's on the line. Especially when he cries about it...the big baby.

So we'll see. Never count out the team with the best player on the floor.

And I mentioned it before, but pretty sure the Celtics win that game with Irving or Hayward on the floor. Hell, it's not like the Cavs could have gotten any hotter on O, so the downgrade on D with those guys wouldn't have mattered much.

Meh - I really don't think the Cavs D was a huge factor, certainly not to the extent that Jackson made it out to be in the telecast the way he was slobbering all over them. Please - the Celtics were missing wide open shots. Even an average shooting night for them and they win that game. The Cavs played decent D, which was an upgrade for sure. I wouldn't call it "good", they left a ton of open shots.

Sure the Celtics could have won that game. Cavs could have won it by more as well. I think majority of games that are within 10 points can obviously be increased to a 20 point lead or possibly a 1 point loss. However Cavs were in the lead for pretty much the entire game. 9 times out of 10, they win that at home. Now yes if that was in Boston, probably a loss but if my aunt had a penis, she would be my uncle. Boston made more 3's turned the ball over less and still lost by 9. Lebron also had 7 turnovers and 3 assists. Usually its the other way around.

I know everybody thinks the Cavs can't play defense but what about this?

15 games is a pretty good sample size. Played the number 1 seeded team and now the 2 seeded team but yet give up 2nd less points of all playoff teams. What do they have to do?

I know Celtic fans think they are getting the shaft on the calls, but I just think the officiating sucks ass all around. There was a charge call last night that I would expect a rec league ref to get right 100 times out of 100.

The one where one of the Celtics ran right over J.R. Smith when he was completely in position and set?

Well well Houston. How about that? Didn't think they had it in them. So this is a real series after all. Nice. Drama in both conference finals!

Hate to not give Houston credit, but I wonder if the Warriors going for their 4th Finals appearance in a row is wearing them out mentally a little bit.

The narrative surrounding mostly everything in 2018 in negative, but that is not the case for the NBA. It is often described as a growing league, a progressive league, and the sport of the future. Without question, the ratings this season have been corresponding to just that.
And they wonder why people say the media has a left wing bias.

But that article does make me wonder if Lebron is getting MJ fans to start watching the sport again (just to root against him of course). Many MJ fans stopped watching when he retired (you can tell because the ratings were never that high again).

You should have waited til the end to post that. What was he....1 of 7 in the 4th quarter? ....And they won.

That's why you don't give the MVP to a guy on the team with the best record. Same thing when Curry won it and then the Warriors went out and won playoff games without him. Obviously that team doesn't rely on one player more than any other team. There is no way they are the most valuable player in the league.

Could the Cavs ever hope to win a game when Lebron doesn't play well? Could any team he's ever played for win without him playing well?
