Corey Feldman says kids' club owner Alphy Hoffman molested him in the 1980s

On “Dr. Oz” on Monday, Corey Feldman divulged the identity of another man whom he alleges sexually molested him, the owner of a teeny bopper club frequented by child stars: Alphy Hoffman.

Hoffman was the owner of an underage club that was popular among Hollywood’s top teen stars ─ including Drew Barrymore, Ricky Schroder and Alyssa Milano ─ from 1986 to 1989. The establishment was sponsored by New York Seltzer Company, and Corey Feldman and his pal Corey Haim were frequently photographed there.

Feldman, 46, hinted in an October interview with Matt Lauer that nefarious things were going on with the owner of a “teenage soda pop club,” but he came short of naming Hoffman. On Monday, Dr. Oz said Hoffman’s name on the air and asked Feldman to confirm that he had accused Hoffman of molesting him and recently reported his name to the LAPD. Feldman agreed.

He described his experience with Hoffman in detail.

“Well he was the guy who ran Alphy’s Soda Pop Club, and, uh, I met him when I was 12 years old,” Feldman said on “Dr. Oz.” “He came to my house to pick me up in his car, and I had heard rumors that he threw the coolest parties in town and he was very connected.”

Feldman explained that Alphy Hoffman was the son of Bobby Hoffman, a major casting director at the time, who died in 1993.

“When you got an invite to go to Bobby Hoffman’s private party — this was a very big thing. And the fact that his son was coming to pick me up himself, was also a very big thing, and my mom ushered me into the car and said ‘go have fun’.”

Feldman said the parties took a dark turn – but not at first.

“You know, the first few times I went it was fairly innocent,” he explained. “Those parties were relatively kid friendly but interestingly that’s where I met the guy that ended up molesting Haim… There was a bunch of these guys, they were all hanging out together at these parties, and the thing is there weren’t a lot of parents at these parties.”

He described what he claims Hoffman did to him, comparing Hoffman to Jon Grissom, a man he previously named as one of his alleged abusers.

“One night I was over there and we were watching a movie and I passed out while I was watching the movie, and when I woke up there was a porn on again. And I was like ‘Man, I’m really tired.’… I remember I could barely walk. I don’t know what I was given at that time, but I know that I was really out of it. And we went to the bedroom, and I was kind of passing in and out of it, and then it was like he started doing the same things to me that Jon [Grissom] had done… I kind of woke up in the middle of it, and I freaked out… I kind of threw him off me and I ran home.”

Haim once spoke out about Hoffman and expressed his dislike for the man. In a 2012 Vice interview, the now-deceased pal of Feldman spoke negatively about Hoffman when asked about his experiences as Alphy’s Soda Pop Club.

“I don’t think he was a good person at all… as far as Alphy goes, well, I’m not going to say it now, because people do change. I went through my time, too. I lost complete respect for Alphy Hoffman. Alphy sucks! Point-f--king-blank,” Haim told Vice.

He added, “He’s a piece of s--t! A user. He had all of us and thought he was the s--t.”

Feldman did not address on Dr. Oz whether or not he believes Hoffman abused Haim as well.

Twitter and Instagram pages that were listed as belonging to a man named Alphy Hoffman, and were previously viewed by Fox News, have vanished following Feldman’s revelations. A Facebook page for a man named Alphy Hoffman has gone private. And a MySpace page that appeared to belong to Hoffman has also been deleted. Promotional photos for Alphy’s Soda Pop Club, including a poster featuring Feldman, were previously shown on the MySpace page.

The current website for Bobby Hoffman Casting lists Alphy Hoffman as a casting director and casting associate. The last project listed on the website is from 2001. Previous projects highlighted on the site include Bobby Hoffman’s high-profile casting jobs, mentioned by Feldman on “Dr. Oz,” such as “Happy Days” and “Laverne and Shirley.” The email address and phone number for the casting company are no longer in service.

A LinkedIn page still exists for a man named Alphy Hoffman in the Los Angeles area. The page lists Hoffman as the current president and casting director for Bobby Hoffman Casting since 1994.

Feldman shuddered when recalling the horrible experience he said he had with Hoffman.

“They’re treating it like, you know, I am being passed back and forth or something… And I just remember being terrified,” he told Dr. Oz.

Fox News’ attempts to reach Hoffman for comment were unsuccessful.

this alphy hoffman guy is the guy Feldman called Ralph Kaufman in his book? He sure was thin in his disguises.....so you would think once that book came out, and you knew you were in it and thinly disguised that you would lay low. Not these guys tho....Grissom was still on all social media with references to Feldman as was this guy

ballsy. just shows how brazen and unrepentant these abusers are

Yeah they were all pigs and Hollywood just went along with it. I have to come correct on Corey Feldman. I used to think he was a bit out there but man he seems to have been telling the truth. Guess he just was messed up from all this.

Actually believe that Michael Jackson never diddled kids because of this. I mean he has been a champion of abuse of kids but has defended MJ. I would think he would have been consistent had he had a devils' threesome with MJ and Bubbles

So many of these Hollywood types are now guilty before being proven innocent. All it takes for anybody to be under the microscope is a claim of sexual abuse. So do we think that Bill Clinton will be looked at differently in the coming months? I mean from what I have seen over the last month, it doesn't matter if you are liberal, conservative, gay, hetero, female or male. If you were abused, you say it and its taken as the truth. I mean Charlie Sheen is now a pedophile. Certainly could be true because he is a sleaze but still there was no benefit of the doubt.

Shouldn't people now look at the accusations at Bill that have occurred for decades in a similar light? Not talking about Conservative conspiracy theories or hatred based on the 90's . I like Bill but lets face it, there has been a pattern with him similar to Harvey. I imagine that party will trump what possibly could be justice. Same goes for the Orange one however his accusers only recently have been defamed. Some of Bill's have been for decades.

Like I said not trying to do a "well Bush did it so its ok" He just has a track record that has been waved off simply due to political identity. Just wondering if by New Years if he will be tarnished at all by this or is he off limits?
Only if the left is willing to end the team sports of it all. They have conveniently ignored the accusations for a long time.

Otherwise I read in here about how Clinton is a serial sex offender-rapist based upon accusations and no convictions…but we need a higher standard when it comes to the right.

In light of Corey's recent revelations, I almost feel bad for making fun of this, last year.

I feel bad for Bush' daughters, especially Jenna, being a pretty outspoken feminist
    and likable young woman.

Her grandfather is really getting hit hard, lately, with accusations.

You can never be sure with these Hollywood folks. Look at the way Lindsay Lohan is defending the likes of Weinstein and Trump. I lookat the way her and Amanda Bynes flipped out and I just have to wonder if this shit is still going on.

Report: Arianna Huffington Turned Blind Eye to Sexual Misconduct at Huffington Post

    14 Nov 2017

In a long exposé, Arianna Huffington is accused of turning a blind eye to years of sexual misconduct by highly placed editors right under her nose when she was running her famed Huffington Post blog.
While remarking that Huffington was applauded as the stake-holding “feminist” who would “clean up Uber” after accusations of sexual misconduct were made at the ride-sharing giant, Gizmodo columnist Melanie Ehrenkranz noted that Huffington did little to address the same problems at her own big company.

According to Ehrenkranz, “being a powerful woman with a stake in a company, and its profits, doesn’t mean Huffington was actually the best choice to champion women struggling to make their voices heard.”

“Huffington’s well-documented history of fostering a toxic work culture, and failing to address inappropriate behavior [at Huffington Post] … calls into question the sincerity behind her pledge to help bring positive change to Uber’s culture,” Ehrenkranz proclaimed.

Ehrenkranz goes on to accuse Huffington of “turning a blind eye” to the sexual misconduct of top editor Jimmy Soni who, in 2014, was suddenly reassigned to help launch HuffPost India and sent to New Delhi after rumors swirled that he acted inappropriately with multiple female employees.

After Soni’s reassignment three years ago, Gawker reported that “the transfer was likely the result of an HR investigation into whether Soni was sexually harassing young women while he oversaw the newsroom.”

Ehrenkranz added that she independently verified the claims:

Given Huffington’s new role as Uber’s toxic culture clean-up consultant, Gizmodo spoke with nine Huffington Post employees, current and former, who spoke under the condition of anonymity because they continue to work in media and fear retaliation from Huffington. A former employee with direct knowledge of the investigation not only independently confirmed that the investigation was indeed the reason for Soni’s transfer, but that Huffington “100 percent knew” about Soni’s actions before they were reported to HR. Another employee in a senior leadership role at that time also confirmed Huffington’s direct knowledge of Soni’s harassing behavior before she sent out the memo, in which Huffington called it a “dream of Jimmy’s, as both his parents were born and raised there.” Huffington also noted in the memo that it was great for the company that Soni would be the one spearheading such a significant launch.

Gizmodo has also independently confirmed just what Huffington would likely have known regarding Soni’s reputation in the newsroom and the ensuing allegations against him. Soni selected the individuals for HuffPost’s Editorial Fellows program, and reportedly saw this program as a way to find a romantic partner. According to Gawker, when an editor reportedly pointed out to Soni that the group of fellows was predominantly white, blonde women, Soni reportedly responded in a semi-joking manner, “Yeah, I’m using it to find myself a wife.”

Soni went on to recount the claims of several more accusers and then said Huffington was fully aware of it all but didn’t want to get involved.

“The source with knowledge of the investigation said that Huffington didn’t want to deal with Soni’s behavior,” Ehrenkranz said, “so she left it to HR. ‘She didn’t handle it in a good way,’ they said, adding that ‘HR protected Arianna and the company more than the employees.'”

This source also told Gizmodo that “Huffington never sat down with any of the fellows or apologized for what happened with Soni.”

With that, Ehrenkranz said Huffington makes a poor advocate for women:

Huffington’s knowledge of the investigation into Soni, together with an absence of recognition of the issues internally or externally, cast doubt on her commitment to advocate on behalf of women. A Huffington Post employee who was an editor at the time said that Huffington was “very protective of those who were in her inner lair,” adding that “I don’t doubt for a fraction of a second that she would protect them whether it’s for sexual misconduct or professional misdealings.”

Ehrenkranz concluded saying that, with this history of doing nothing to address sexual misconduct by someone in her inner circle, “suspicions of Huffington’s sincerity were well founded.”

The Boston Globe just printed a big story on several professors at the esteemed Berklee College of Music,
being quietly shifted or let go, after accusations of sexual misconduct with female students.
Jazz musician/Berklee instructor, Greg Osby's comments were pretty disgusting, and sort of presents a window
    into how these creeps think.

This is how the Democrats have lost touch with a lot of the white working class. Calling them privileged then say "Oh, you're voting against your best interests" isn't going to work for a lot of people.

This has really sullied my perception of Hollywood. When I visited there in 1997, `98 and 2014, I was so excited I couldn't stand it. It just seemed like where the "action" was. Now I think I'm glad I never got involved in it. When Lena Dunham's autobiography came out where she outed herself for sexually abusing her little sister (if you've watched just one episode of Oprah what was going on there would be abundantly clear), I couldn't believe Jimmy Kimmel, Andy Richter, Colin Quinn, Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew and even Molly Ringwald all backed Dunham. I realized then that this was a world as scary as Penn State.
