Nothing. Maybe some new gear from Ed, but that's it. Wolf's album is vaporware.

At most I'm expecting a repeat of 2015. Sub in either re-masters or a box set instead of Tokyo Dome Live.

More more realistically, I'm not expecting anything other than some new EVH Gear and maybe Wolfgang's album.

At this point in 2011 we were hearing plenty of rumors about VH in the studio from multiple sources. Chris Canella, Mark Tremonti, and more made mention of the recording process. We'd have heard more if we were getting an album.

Greatest hits tour with the current line up. Maybe a re-issue of VH1 with some demos and out takes. (Wishful thinking, I know)

Final show in LA, they bring Mike out for a song or two to end the tour. Group hug.

    Get ready.

The sad thing is that Dave, Al, Wolf or Ed could post on this thread and it would be as good a guess as any.

My guess is a 40th anniversary tour with the current lineup. Outside shot of Mike being back in the fold. I think the dual lead singer theory is a pipe dream at best.

Sammy will release a compilation CD. (Maybe a live one, hard to tell.) He will also do the same interview at least once a month.

Eddie will release some gear and tweet something goofy to promote it.

Fudd's post will turn one year old and be somehow resurrected by someone who can't read date stamps as a brand new thing and show up on music "news" sites as breaking news a year later.

Dave will move to some remote location and pick up that culture because, why not?

Wolfie will post pictures from 2015 that will trick people into thinking he's still in the studio working on his solo album.

Mike will pop up from time to time, do an interview and remind us of what we are missing from the current band. He'll probably be a class act.

Gary will finally finish that next Extreme album.

The Dave & Dave podcast will improve it's audio issues, but will be stopped because they finally have covered every old piece of VH news available.

Noel Monk will claim that when he was with the band that they opened for Bon Jovi against his best wishes and Roth writing storm lyrics to the songs proposed for the Twister soundtrack caused his demise from the band.

Mitch Malloy will brag that he actually was at 5150 in 1985 as well as 1996 and release a version of "I Want Some Action" with his vocals on them. That and "It's The Right Time" become the centerpiece of his solo show.

Alex will just sit and wait.
this is ridiculous. C'mon get real will ya?
There's no way Dave & Dave fix the audio on their podcast.

    I do not get it.

They have such good guests, Dweezil, Noel, etc.
Yet the production sounds like they recorded it in 1987, using a boombox
    on their dresser.

Agree. The worse is when you can hear one of them breathing heavily while someone else is talking. I think it was most noticeable in the Shanks interview. I'm thinking c'mon dude whichever one is mixing this audio lower that breathing in post.

    HAHA, i know!

I remember thinking it was like an obscene phone call mixed with a really interesting interview:

Shanks: So, next thing i know, Ed pulls out the Shark and starts plugging it in and....

Dave: Don't stop, keep talking, i'm so close....

Van Halen will tour to commemorate the release of the greatest debut album in rock history. Wolf will play a role in creating the setlist again where deep cuts will be played live such as DOA, Top Jimmy and One Foot Out the Door.

I predict more of the same, basically nothing. Maybe a tour, but how many anniversaries and historical milestones have passed with much anticipation with zero manifestation wth these guys? I wonder how much the VHs give a shit about 40 years since VH1, really. Certainly not enough to bury the yard with hatchets and have a big love-in like some would fantasize. Or so I would wager.

Maybe Wolf finally gets his shit together, or maybe he waits til it's widely anticipated by no one. Not holding my breath. Another tour under the same incarnation - even if they, say, played VH1 in its entirety is still kind of a yawn for me, especially if Mike (a key player in anniversary of said) is not involved. It would just be weird and more of the same as the last tour.

I just wanna hear new music, as always, but don't see that happening either, especially if there is a tour and it's all about VH1.
Maybe they throw out a re-issue with some of the leftover ADKOT things on it, but again, would be pretty surprised if anything like that comes to fruition.
