This is how Ed and co are responding to everyone bailing out on VH3. I think i'm right. I think we pissed them off so bad, i doubt they ever give us any more music. I mean these guys really thought they had something with Gary. That stupid thing Ed kept doing in the new videos'. The three finger thing representing the third incarnation. I thought he looked like George W. Bush. Two of a kind...lost respect for them both.
Anyway, they stubbed up. I want these guys to be back to what they once were, but they are losing.

VH3 for my ears was unlistenable. If that's why they bailed then so be it, it wasn't Van Halen being Van Halen and the fans showed their overwhelming disapproval. Still, as an artist if Ed wants to make music that sounds like VH3 he should go ahead, I won't buy it, but it's his life, his art. If we were on the third or fourth album by Gary and crew today, VH3 (the album) would not even be a point of conversation, a whole group of fans would be loyal to that era with just as much polarity as the Dave / Sam camps are now.

The failure of VH3 on top of cancer, divorce, drinking and memories of the Hagar years may have been enough for Ed to throw in the towel.

I don't think we are the main reason for VH's lack of activity. There are too many things that went on in Ed's life that VH is just put on hold. Hopefully, that button will get turned off and VH will be unleashed again!

Eddie is a true musician and will always make music. You can rest assure VH will be making music again soon...he has to pay bills like the rest of us.

I believe eddie has really enjoyed being with his son Wolfie and hasn't been so eager to get back out on tour. He missed a lot of quality time with him on past tours and recordings. This time period has given him a lot of time to write. (i'm a father and a guitar player)

His personal problems are definately a HUGE factor for the long silence but, I believe Mikey playing with Sammy is a hint to us of whats to come. Maybe this is a code to the fans that a reunion w/Sammy is coming.

Unfortunately, all lawyers have to be satified before any fun can start with VH.

keep the faith

To create something like music, you would have to be a functioning human being.

I dont think Ed is a functioning human being right now. Someone clone him before its too late.

Dont you also think if you had put out an album that you thought was really kick ass and then all your fans snubbed it, it would make you gun shy? I believe they thought 3 was great and no one got it. I would be afraid of the same mistake after such a long run of success.
I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

There is no place for insecurity in the ROCK N ROLL business.

Drugs and booze play a major role in dulling those insecurities. Maybe Ed should hit the bottle again.

I think Phoenix is Hitch's clone. Love it or hate it.
