    Congrats Yank....ehhhhh

Custard got his revenge last night.

Even though the Cavs won a title, Cleveland is still cursed. Indians are 0-6 in the last two playoff/World Series for close out games. Were clueless going against Forrest Whitaker in two games. Well 22 game streak is about as relevant as winning 73 games. Footnote to a choke job.

My apologies to anybody who hates the Yankees. My Indians choked like Stacy Hamilton on that carrot

I'm sort of shocked they beat the Indians.

Brett, are you rooting for the Cubs or Nationals today?

Honestly I don't really care. Would like to get revenge on the Cubs so maybe the Cubs.

I am kind of torn as well..... haha....

I believe the Dodgers would be favored vs either team.

I like the Nats starting pitching better then the Cubs. Scherzer, Strasburg, and Gio Gonzalez are about the best 1-2-3 in the NL. Lester & Arrieta are a bit suspect right now. Hendricks and Quintana will have to be on.

Both teams can bash out runs. Cubs have been a little quiet this week. Rizzo, Bryant and Zobrist are all playoff vets after last year, I think they can make a run.

Nats could flip the switch as well with Harper and Rendon. Trea Turner is also excellent at the top of the lineup.

I wish I had your confidence. A lot of teams could've beaten New York this year and prevented this, but didn't. Cleveland even had to have a near miraculous comeback the other night or else it would've been done before last night. New York is like Jason - you may think they're dead, but then some fool wakes them up and they're back at it.

Even if the Yanks lose to Houston, they are VERY set up for the next few years. The Yankees are going to be a power again going forward. They are going to keep coming back....like JASON...

They have some young MLB players and more help on the way. The still have a TOP 3 Farm system. Plus the huge $$ cash for additional International Free Agents. $$ for MLB Free Agents as well. They have really tried to build the team the right way lately, similar to the 90s with homegrown prospects.

Yep, they are a year ahead of schedule. They are going to be good for a long time. Dammit.

31 teams passed on Judge in the first round of the 2013 draft.

To be fair, late 1st round is where all teams had him ranked at the time in 2013 after his college season at Fresno. Even the Yankees passed on him at #26 in the 1st. Everyone saw the huge power potential.

The Oakland A's actually drafted Judge out of high school in 2010, but he had a commit to CSU Fresno. Local NORCAL kid.

It was due to his 6'7" height and the HUGE hole in his swing at the time coming out of college. Most teams thought he was going to strike out far to often to justify the huge HR Power. He was a risk.

You saw the huge strikeouts come into play in the 2nd half this year when pitchers figured him out a bit.

Judge was also completely shut down by Cleveland (good pitching) in the ALDS. 1 for 20 (.050) with a record breaking 16 Strike Outs in 5 games.

The big question going forward will be if he can hit with enough power to justify the huge strikeout #s. He is going to be 26 at the start of next year, so he is also not as young as most people think. Can he adjust to the new adjustments pitchers are making to him?

Most likely in the regular season he will get enough pitches to get his 30 to 40 HRs. The next question will be if he will ever hit that elite 50 HR # again?

That wasn't exactly Madison Bumgarner in game 7 of the 2014 World Series by Max Scherzer there in the top of the 5th inning ...
