I think the III one was listed for just over $50.00.

At least there were there yesterday.... One seller had all 4 Hagar albums for about $172.00.

Seen another OU812 cd for about $42.00.
Even noticed a VH III one - has anyone ever heard that particular remaster?
Its shit. That's the only one I heard before this thread. The Buzz is still there, and it sounds WAY more muddy. If you're interested in an ACTUAL remaster, I took the promo disc copies of the songs (vs the released versions), and applied noise removal, added bass, dialed down reverb etc. I can post a link later today if you like.

Check CDJapan.com, that's where I ordered my copies from. And they should be far cheaper than Ebay.

Right on... Never heard of that site before, but thanks.

I have the 2005 Forever Young disc of III. It's decent, but not earth shattering. And definitely not worth $50. Like Masong said, the buzz is still there, and if any treatment was given to the sound, it wasn't enough to vastly improve it. Still, I do think it's better than the original U.S. release, but only very slightly.

As for buying the Hagar albums from CDjapan.com, that's where I got mine. Awesome site!! But the last time I looked, all of the 2005 releases were out of print and out of stock. The actual discs are good enough (see what I did there) to own if you can track them down. I've NEVER regretted buying them. But if money is tight, there are enough people around here who either have them, or have flac copies of them, that it might be worth sending around a few PM's before shelling out a couple hundred dollars.
