    Default Two Jedi McFly Originals

I firmly believe the only way to become a better songwriter is to practice, so I try to do so whenever I get a chance. The problem is that I like to practice via these "demo/concept" pieces, so I need a few hours to sit down and program the drums, record the bass, and then of course the guitar parts. I'm not a strong writer, I can't write vocal melodies or lyrics to save my life, but I like stringing some riffs together. So here are two of my original demos/concept tunes for you guys.

    "Altered Dream"

    and

    "Picky"

    I liked them both...catchy

Jedi- WOW!, both of those tunes are awesome! That's some excellent song craftsmanship!

If that's a drum program, it's sounds reheheally good. Your bass parts are great as well.
I'm so hack, I wouldn't know where to start, to create something like that.
Altered Dream reminds me of a MSG canvas, with a good dose of Edward, and a splash of Satch.
I really dig that open string harmonics part.
Picky has sort of a Kings X groove to it, with a bunch of Ed, a few ounces of Ty, with an EJ garnish.
I'm certain both of these songs would be great foundations for melodies, because honestly, I'm not a melodist at all, myself,
but while I was listening to these, all kinds of melodies, and lyrics were swirling around in my head.

I can sense you've learned to control the tight, and control the loose. Very well done!

    Nice dynamicosity!

Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Sounds great! I really like "Picky", starts off a bit like Ratt's "Nobody Rides For Free", then veers off into another direction...very cool!

Thanks, man! It's a drum kit from Logic (one of the best $200 I've ever spent in music) but I program each and every individual hit. I think a big key to fake drums isn't using loops, but trying to create a drum part that a real drummer would make based on your tune.

Thanks, boss man. That's one take of a low volume 5150iii with an 8ms delay on one side.

I've never really listened to Rats before, so I'll look that tune up!

Is the neck pickup soloing at 3:13 of 'Picky' your EVH Special?

Tone sounds beautiful (and the playing is even better! ;-)
