    Default Chickenfoot Best + Live

Looks like there might be an upcoming compilation from the band. How long before Mitch Malloy is handed a demo by Satch?

    No shit?!

Well that's interesting with having just 2 albums, but they threw the live in there and especially the new tune so it works!

Good track listing, but they forgot "Down the Drain" on the Best CD. Every band/artist has to leave out one big one to be frustrating, that's the rule!

At least the best non-Van Halen song of all-time, "Future in the Past," is on there so I forgive 'em.

Hopefully this is to keep their name alive because of near-future endeavors...

I've always found that so odd, but true.

At least there is a cut of it on the live disc.

Jesus, I forgot all about Chickenfoot. Was into them, saw them twice....one show each tour. They kicked ass. But they have had NO staying power with me. Haven't had any of their songs on my ipod in years.

At least we get the new song finally, but a best of after only 2 albums??
Sammy's just put out his own compilation, and before that a live disc and an acoustic set...

In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

I guess it's something. I've just pre ordered mine. Let's hope something else maybe coming down the line. Maybe they've put it out to create interest again. Fingers crossed.

When you put out a "Greatest Hits" album after only two albums, that seems to be a sure sign that they are throwing in the towel.

Too bad, great band. As we are used to saying around here...what could've been.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

I like the band of course but greatest hits cd? I mean they really never toured as an opener for anybody in big places. Outside of die hard Van Hagar fans and maybe some stragglers with Joe and RHCP no one heard of them. Call your local classic rock station and request one from them lol. Sammy's last 5 albums:

    Chickenfoot compilation
    Late solo years compilation
    Live Album with The Circle
    Acoustic album of old songs
90% covers album with guest stars

To his credit he's still putting stuff out there.

The Live-CD only has songs from the first album... Because they didn't have any material with Chad from III?

An EP would have been cooler, IMO. Put out the new song and add some three, maybe four live takes that were not released on the LV album before. At least that would have given us some hope that more is to come from CF.
Probably gonna pass and try to get Divine Termination on its own digitally.

I don't think this is an official release. I think it's all recordings from live shows. I've never heard of EAR Music. If it was official, I'd have gotten two e-mails from CF PR people, not to mention their Facebook page and website. None reflect anything like an official release.

EAR Music is a legit label, they handled the last few Deep Purple albums and have several other releases.

I just think Amazon and a couple of other retailers jumped the gun putting something out there for pre-order before the press release came out.

Ear Music is a legit label. It mainly services European countries.
Most of the Chickenfoot albums I have are on that label.
