Default Could use some wiring help (pictures included)

I've googled some diagrams but couldn't find what I need. Anyone know how to wire the selector switch with the neck and bridge humbuckers in a wolfgang standard? The pickup wires have a red, green and white soldered together, and the black and bare wires together.

My guess is the two red wires go to the top of the switch but I'm not sure about the others. Also, the grey wire runs to the volume pot and I believe that gets soldered to the middle spot of the selector switch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. All of my wiring experience is the simple one pickup, one volume! This selector switch is throwing me off.

    The switch:

    Hey DD!

The red is the hot. Wire one of the reds to the top and one to the bottom posts sticking out in the middle of the switch. I can't say for certain if the top or bottom is neck or bridge, but try testing it by soldering your output on, put switch in bridge position, and tap the posts with a screw driver. Whichever makes nosie is the bridge post. I believe it will be the one on the top. Tape off the green and white, make sure they stay connected, this keeps the coils in series to make it a humbucker. Solder the black and bare to the groun on the switch (where you have wires hanging off).

    You should be good now!

    Thanks so much.

    1. So it sounds like the middle spot on the right side had both grounds connected to it.

    2. What about the grey wire that will head down to the volume pot cavity? Where is that connected on the switch? In the middle on top between where the red hot wires go?

Really appreciate the help with this.

No lie, if you want to check which pickup is which you do so without soldering by just electrical taping the hot lead to the tip of an instrument cable and the ground/bare wires to the sleeve. Then use the screwdriver tapping method Yaminub mentioned.

Now, that's a cheapie switch so it may be different, but the middle will typically be the common. That means that the grey wire should run from that middle solder pad down to the volume pot.

Also, you'll probably have luck "switching" which pickup's lead goes where versus what you would think it is. If you want standard Wolfgang wiring (toggle up = bridge) then wire the bridge to the bottom solder pad. Most switches are actually moving contacts, so once you move past the pivot point everything inverts. If you were looking at the switch from the bottom of the guitar it'd be like this, where "\" is the actual toggle and "X" are the solder pads:

    Bridge:
    __\__

    Neck:
    __/__

The bolded red "X"s represent the pads that the switch connects.

    I hope that makes sense!

I wasn't sure whether is was inverted or not. I've used many that are and many that aren't, wouldn't hurt to try!
And yes, middle is hot output.

I replaced that 3 way with a switch craft, got rid of the tone pot & put a second volume pot in it's place so I could do kill switch stuff with my standard. If you're feeling adventurous, try it! http://www.stewmac.com/Pickups_and_E..._Switches.html

@joezlo - I did a similar pot set up on my Peavey Wolfgang. Master volume and neck volume only. This way no matter what pickup I'm using I can quickly manipulate the volume with the master knob (I ride that thing all the time) and if I want to do killswitch effects or have a clean tone on a single channel amp I can lower the volume of just the neck pickup.
