    Default Which Van Halen song ...

    Has the best combination of stellar music and great lyrics? My vote goes to this one ...

    "It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

    "Political correctness is fascism pretending to be manners" - George Carlin

    "Women and Children First ... The REAL Van Halen III"

    Wow, there's a number to choose from, for even the more simplistic tunes lyric wise still had some gem lines or catches

    This one was a good complete package for me

    And this one was more simplistic, but also one of my favorites

    Ain't nothing but Sock Gravy

    Too many to choose from, yet, in all fairness;

    I'll Wait, Cabo Wabo, Once.
    "There's too many people on this basketball that's floating around the sun, who are too afraid to allow themselves to FEEL" - Edward Van Halen
    "Van Halen was never about the singer..." - a very wise fan.

    My picks 'coulda' also easily have been;

    Hear About It Later, Mine All Mine, Stay Frosty/Year to the Day.

    How Many Say I.

    Love the intro how it pays homage to Decadent Dance as it turns into variations of Glory of Love and then Never Enough.

    Then you hear Tom Waits singing the verse as an angelic voice doubles. Then it modulates into a major key as the songwriters decide if you like a phrase, why not repeat it 10 times. This would later be put into effect on a later VH song "Its About Time" as Sammy referenced time more than MC Hammer. During the middle portion a cello plays solemnly as one would envision Kneau Reeves staring at a sandwich on a park bench.

    An oboe then flutters like a Dave's tap dance shoes on a slick surface as the intro is played again. The chorus is again repeated just in case you were wondering how many I's are said to get to the middle of a Tootsie Pop.

    Now with all this, you get introspective lyrics which makes one question compassion, love and regret.

    Ok now seriously I love Romeo Delight for Dave era and Mine All Mine for Sam

    Imagine, if you will, Dave's 50 rides on the Love Train, EXCEPT, instead of Love Train, it's............wait for it...........How Many Say I, Aye Yai Yai.

    Somebody has to make that happen. Lawsuits be damned.

    I wanna see Dave slide into the camera shot with Russell sitting on the floor, seemingly unphased, as Ed sings, "have you ever looked down, as da homeless walked by".
