Interesting! Cool find! I'd heard rumors, but never actually seen this.
I'm sure Jimi has some insight.

I know it's sure as hell a neat and valuable guitar, but I can't stand prs guitars. Never have.

But then again I never thought I'd own a les Paul so what the hell do I know.

    I don't know man,
It has all the hallmark's of a legit EVH designed guitar. The thick heal speaks volumes to me.

Going by looks alone? Yuck... I'm sorry, but I've never been a PRS fan. I remember Ed saying that prospective companies were doing single pickup striped guitars, hoping to dazzle him, and failing.

If this is in fact legit, I'm not surprised Eddie bailed or balked at the idea! Several years into his Peavey deal, Ed was more than comfortable with his dual pickup guitars. A trait previously established with EBMM, and continued with every offering since, sans the striped niche market replicas. And what's with the Peavey bridge on a PRS guitar???

wow...... that is one UGLY ASS looking guitar. I can't see Eddie in million years playing something like that. Just not his style. I mean I am sure its a killer playing axe (PRS guitars are amazing.... as a matter a fact the hockey stick neck Ed had on franky from 88 to 93 was a PRS neck) but wow is it ugly as sin.... only time I have ever seen Edward play an ugly ass guitar like that was during the 93 bridge benefit when he played the Parker fly guitar that time....

glad this deal never materialized.... either way cool post and thread and thanks for the cool info. Very interesting.

Best guitar I've ever played/owned. That includes the EVH EB/MM's and Peavey Wolfgang. The S2 line impressed the hell out of me. I didn't like PRS guitars either until I played this one. It's flawless.

I'm assuming its because PRS doesn't use floyd rose's on their guitars so they grabbed one Eddie was already comfortable with

That doesn't make sense. If you're trying to wow a client you only use high end stuff. Floyd rose is the standard on which all tremolos are made.

PRS guitars never did it for me. I'm not even neutral about them. I completely a little everytime I see one.

But that's just my taste. The shape doesn't do it for me.

Trying to be nice but yeah. They're ugly as hell. Can't stand the shape. And the they're way overpriced.

Vic Johnson has an amber one that's a beauty. Davy Knowles , who opened for the Foot, has one as well. I don't play guitar, but I know what I like. Great looking guitar Wildman!
