    Default Artists with Wolfgangs

I know tons of other artists use EVH amps, but have any of you seen other professional guitarists actively using EVH Wolfgangs? I know Paul Sidoti, from Taylor Swift's band, does and is a hardcore fan. But there has to be others.

Saw this guy on evhgear.com (but I've never heard of him):
    Kurt Allison

In 2012, the guitarist for Kool and the Gang played a Wolfgang Special in Dallas when I saw them. Other than that, I really couldn't find anyone else.

One of Jason Aldean's guitarists and one of the Black Eyed Peas guitarists. My wife actually texted me during the Black Eyed Peas concert to let me know the guitarist was playing one, I was super proud of her.

I believe I read that Edward gifted that to him.

I've seen guitarists playing them occasionally, mostly session musicians that are backing up famous singers, so it's not like you can name the guitarist.

I haven't seen any famous guitarists playing a Wolfgang, and I'm not quite sure why, other than they feel it's still too strongly identified with EVH the artist and musician.

I think it does make a difference if you grew up on EVH, you probably feel like you are coming off like a fanboy if you play his guitar in front of a bunch of people. It's like when I was a kid, I had no idea who Les Paul was, but I knew I liked the Les Paul guitars. It's possible the Wolfgang guitars need that space before they get to a point where famous people start using them.

I'd be willing to bet that there are a lot of famous guitarists that own a Wolfgang in their personal collection, but just don't play them out live.

Also think of all the famous musicians that Ed has given them to. I bet Jerry Cantrell has all 3 incarnations of eddies guitars. Sammy, dwezil, alter bridge, kool and the gang, ki mani Marley, Kenny Wayne Shepard, David lee Roth, and I know Phil Collen has a few.

Steve Stevens plays a black EVH USA Wolfgang.
VH III is Ed's solo album. So everybody who keeps saying they wish he'd do one needs to stfu and listen to III. Then stfu again.

Here's a pic I took of John Fogerty a few years back. He even did a brief unaccompanied solo with finger-tapping and everything. YES -- the dude from CCR! Obviously a fan.

Obviously an EBMM Axis guitar, rather than a Wolfgang, but that's a great picture that I've never seen before. Thanks for that!

Great pic! I had forgotten until Kevin posted, but he also has this sexy amber EBMM I recalled him playing from some time back. I'd totally forgotten, but I remember thinking it was cool!

I think he has a couple more different colored ones too...Pretty sure I recall that, but I'm a sucker for the Amber.

The amber is the first one we saw. I still have that old GFTPM cover in a scrapbook!

I've never tried one of the non-locking nut versions (Sport, or Super Sport?) that Fogerty is sporting in these photos.
    Pun be damned! LOL.

One of the guys from Killswitch Engage plays a Wolfgang. They aren't my thing but I saw them at a festival a few years ago and noticed it.

A few years ago I came across either a live Morrissey or Cure concert on TV. One of the guitarists was playing a Wolfgang. Kind of thought it was weird considering the music.

I have seen a few country bands (nobody famous but nationally touring) use them.
