    Fuck Ticketmaster.

Just thought I would throw that out there.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

I used to camp out for tickets in the pre internet days. Things were still screwed up at TB. I know guys who would get there the night before and be in the top ten in line at that particular outlet and still get seats way back from the stage crappy as hell. The net just made them better thieves.

what a joke, they added more terrible shows to the terrible list. But now they all show: "Voucher Sold out for this event"

People are using the GA Vouchers to get boatloads of free tickets and resell them for dirt cheap. Whatever doesn't sell, it's not a loss on a zero $ purchase.

Kinda like how Ticketmaster magically has great seats to sell as "Official Platinum Seats" (or whatever they call them) at 2 or 3 times the face value. If no one buys them, who cares, release them back into the regular pool and get face value. And they will sell because they are always great seats.

They are basically scalping their own seats right on their site. fuckers lol

I have well over three dozen GA vouchers, apparently.

And what a shocker...all the events they're eligible for, have already sold out via vouchers.

LOL, what a monopoly they got.

I used two vouchers of $2.25 each on the GnR ticket I bought today.

I tried the free ticket vouchers for other concerts earlier this week to no avail.

I figured now is a good time to resurrect this thread considering the bullshit Ticketmaster/Live Nation have been pulling this year in regards to keeping from issuing refunds for postponed and canceled shows and other events. We've all heard the stories the past few months of TM trying to pass off some sort of "credit" for future events instead of a refund. Right now, even though TM has bowed to enormous backlash when they originally (secretly) revised their refund policy back in March, they are still making it very difficult to get refunds and for shows they have or are giving refunds, they are waiting a full 30 days to do so. One excuse being used to still avoid doing refunds is putting the blame on a tour promoter saying ""Please Note: Your event organizer is not allowing refunds at this time. Given the unprecedented circumstances, event organizers are constantly assessing the situation and making determinations regarding refunds. You can always check your Ticketmaster Account later, as this status may change. Just go to your order to see if a refund link appears, which would indicate that the event organizer has made your order eligible for a refund."

Worse, in some instances like the Paul McCartney tour through Europe, it appears TM sent out notice they would only give refunds if ticket holders requested refunds *by mail* within a whopping 5 day window.

I guess I should be shocked that a major company like Ticketmaster can even attempt to get away with this sort of shady practice to skirt ticket refunds but in this day and age, nothing surprises me anymore. I would at the very least think such a tiny window of opportunity for a refund, not to mention the apparent ridiculous hoops one has to jump through has to violate several state laws.

At any rate, I'm so glad I have no upcoming shows I bought tickets for and this just reinforces my general long standing practice of waiting until the last minute before a show date to buy tickets.

Is it possible to still get tickets at the box office? The Doobie Brothers were supposed to have a show at the amphitheatre in Tampa this summer, and I think before this stupid virus my plan was going to be to drive over and see if I could buy the tickets there. I just don’t want to deal with Ticketmaster if I can at all avoid it.

No, no, no - something I was planning to do before this stupid virus, and may want to do if I get the opportunity once this stupid virus is gone!
