    1. EEAS - not perfect, but some great songs.
    2. DLR Band - there are some great songs on here. Production sucks, and his voice is weak in parts, but this is a fun disc.
    3. ALAE - solid.
    4. YFLM - a couple buried gems, real good songwriting on DLR's part, really shitty band.
    5. Diamond Dave - The first five songs are pretty damn good, then it start's going downhill.
    6. Skycrapper - Hina and Damn Good. The rest...blech. Album that started his career downslide. Great tour though.

I will say his EP has two of his best vocal performances on it. Coconut Grove and Easy Street.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    1. Skyscraper ( Love "Hina", it's a full album with no covers)
    2. Eat em and smile ( love "Big trouble")
    3. A little ain't enough (love "drop in the bucket" perhaps it's a too long album)
    4. The DLR band (love "king of the hill", the production isn't good)
    5. Your filthy little mouth (cool album )
    6. Diamond Dave ((cool album too)

    1. Eat 'em And Smile

For obvious reasons. "Yankee Rose" and "Goin' Crazy!" are amazing. "Ladies Nite in Buffalo?" and "Big Trouble"--wow. "Shyboy" is awesome and showcases the shit out of the band. "Bump and Grind" is severely underrated I think. "Tobacco Road' was cool, but didn't do that much for me in comparison to other DLR covers for some reason.

    2. Skyscraper

I know a lot of fans aren't down with it, and yeah the production sucks, but it "is" DLR, Steve, Billy, and Greg we're talking about so I put that as the second best by default. "Just Like Paradise," love it or not, is as catchy as it gets and deserves to be as big as it is. "Damn Good" was top-notch, of course, and I know a lot of folks here love "Hina." I think that's first time I ever said "folks." That's weird. Anyways, I think the title track is fantastic and respected his boundary expanding. The rest is just fun as hell to rock out to in the summertime. "Knucklebones," "The Bottom Line," "Hot Dog and a Shake," "Two Fools a Minute"--again, such a fun album with massive shreddin'. I'll mention "Stand Up" because it was a slightly popular single. Nothing special in comparison, but a cool enough song. I think I like the remix intro better though.

    3. DLR Band

Despite the poor production, a lot of the songs of course seeming rushed (because they were), and a handful of songs using a similar rock "format"..."Slam Dunk!" and "King of the Hill" were great triumphant comebacks for the man. "Black Sand" and "Going Places..." are as good of Roth songs as it gets. So well-written (and I'll get to that in a minute). "Little Texas" was bad-ass and well-written tune as well, gotta love the riff to "Wa Wa Zat!!," and "Tight" is total Dave and total fun, although I think a better chorus could've made it one of his best songs. And no, not the original chorus, either. Although with VH and everything VH-related more is better for me (hell, I like Rocky 5!), I still maintain if they nixed a few of the songs I didn't mention above and made it an 11-song album, it would've been a lot more acclaimed. I'd keep "Lose the Dress (Keep the Shoes)" for the awesome lyrics and "Relentless," "Indeedido," and "Weekend with the Babysitter" because they were different enough musically.

    4. Crazy from the Heat

I don't care if it's an EP...all 4 songs were stellar. One side urban night life Dave, one side beach bum Dave. Would've made it #3 but DLRB rocks too much. "California Girls" and "Gigolo" were meant for Diamond Dave. "Coconut Grove" and "Easy Street," like Dave's Dreidel said, are Dave at his best vocally. Ever try singing "Easy Street?"

    5. Your Filthy Little Mouth

Yes, I put it above ALAE. Even though the only rockers are really "She's My Machine," which I think is a great song, and "Big Train," the rest are so well-written and quality I have to give it the edge. I think this was a great "mature DLR." And definitely some of his best lyrics to date. "You're Breathin' It," "Cheatin' Heart Cafe,"--those are some good, fun Roth tunes. It doesn't have to be heavy for me to love his music. And I give Terry Kilgore a lot of credit for his writing, even though he's no Vai, Becker, or Lowery.

    6. A Little Ain't Enough

Right up there with "Paradise," "YR," "GC,"--"A Lil' Ain't Enough" the title track is an all-time favorite of mine. So fun. So summer. So catchy. So Diamond Dave. "Drop in the Bucket" is easily one of his best rockers. I'm actually a "Hammerhead Shark" guy. Like I said, if it just rocks "a little" but has that goofball's sunshine-y fuckin' voice and it's catchy, I'm a fan. "Sensible Shoes" definitely should be noted. New territory for Dave at that age that really worked. "It's Showtime!" is cool and "Lady Luck" I dig but I don't think they were anything different enough from his past work. Don't get me wrong, I love the rest, but overall I like YFLM a hair more because even though it doesn't rock as much, it's better quality to me.

    7. Diamond Dave

Love it and all, but definitely at the bottom. Yes, because it's a covers album outside of one original and couple original novelty tracks, but also because I think his choice of covers could've been wayyy better for his 1 covers album. I mean how many does he already have at his disposal that he's done before and even very recently at that point? "Shoo Bop" was great, and I really liked "Stay While the Night Is Young," but do you really need 2 more Savoy Brown covers? I never even heard of him before this album came out. The rest or at least most of the rest should've been replaced by "Tin Cup Chalice," "Baker Street," "Shine a Little More," "When It's Love Time," "Flex," "'How About a Little Fire' Scarecrow?," "Lido Shuffle," and yes, nothing but yes--"Living in America." "Thug Pop"'s a keeper. Nothing special, but cool enough of a tune.

By the way, why are his only remastered albums the Spanish version of his best album and his 2 lesser popular albums that didn't even need it? But let's keep EEAS and Skyscraper the way they are! Even VH's derivatives are fucked up!
