    Default My new "Les Paul"

I put Les Paul in quotations, because it may look like one... But it's not one in a traditional sense.

    It's a semi hollow body.
It's a limited run ES-Les Paul made in Gibsons Memphis factory and this one happens to be a limited run without F holes in the body.

The pickups are Gibson MHS which are wound like the old PAF's and are not potted.
The binding on the fingerboard is rolled and extremely comfortabke to play.
    This guitar weighs 6lbs.
It also has a bone nut and titanium bridge saddles.

    What a great looking guitar!
Congrats on the limited edition purchase. How does it sound? Rhetorical question... LOL.

It actually doesn't sound like a normal Les Paul lol
It's quite a bit brighter and clearer.
And with the semi hollow construction and unpotted paf style pickups it feedbacks very easily.. But you can control the feedback quite nicely.

    Beautiful guitar man!
I find it interesting when you mention the sound. I love Les Pauls, but there's a bit of hate in that relationship too. They can be muddy if you get a great sound on the bridge pickup, then switch to the neck. Not a big deal, but I really like to use the neck pickup, so I usually would swap it for something that had a little more mids and highs.
It's awesome that this one sounds brighter and clearer out of the gate!
I still maintain one of the best Les Pauls I've played over the past few years was one of their ash series. Just amazing clarity with both pickups, nice weight, and balance, and played like a dream. I really should have pulled the trigger on it, but I've got a thing about Pauls...They've gotta look as good as they sound, and it didn't...at least to me. Pauls are just one of those guitars that I see as much as an investment as a great player.
I've got a bunch of home built planks that sound every bit as good, but they look like hell! Lol.
Absolutely no problem with yours! She's a foxy bitch!

Try EQ'ing the amp to your neck pickup first.

Usually do, but then I always find myself readjusting the bridge tone! Lol!
That's why I usually just go for a little less hot neck pickup these days....I little brighter, and more clarity. I find the Gibson Classic 57' is perfect for me, and I almost always use Duncan 59's, or Pearly Gates for my bridge pickups.
It's not a big deal. Just personal preference.
