How often do any of us truly know what the songwriter really meant to say through his lyrics? Songs like "Poundacake" excepted, I recall Dylan commonly stating his fans would come up to him and say "Man, I really dig where you were coming from in your lyrics in "pick your song", only to have him retort, what that song means to you has nothing to do whit what it meant to me. Basically telling the masses to stop assuming they have a clue what he was thinking about or meant in any particular song. If it sounds cool, who the fuck cares. I don't need intellectual thought from my rock idols. I really only care about the vibe, feel, and emotional reaction a songs delivers, or fails to deliver. I love Humans Being. One of the Hagar era's best; however we know it was thrown together because Sam wrote a song about hurricanes and they were asked not to. Eddie and who ever tweaked it, and it's golden! Doubt there is much meaning in there. Not like Rush's "The Tress". Whole other topic there...
