Default Sammy's Face Book Post on CABO with Ed, Al and Mike !

    https://www.facebook.com/SammyHagar/?fref=nf

Sammy posted a rare acoustic jam from the opening of the CABO with the Ed, Al and Mike on his Facebook Page, thanking everyone for his CABO experience including VH.
    Sounds so GOOD!
Seems like every time I hear these guys lately I remember how GREAT a band they really were!
So much fun to watch, they really were a great band.
Seems like Sam has let a lot of it all go lately - I hope this means good things for the future!

    I love it!!!
Remember seeing that footage before, when MTV covered the opening of the cantina.

Very loose jam. Lots of laughs and fun. It really is that simple...
"There's too many people on this basketball that's floating around the sun, who are too afraid to allow themselves to FEEL" - Edward Van Halen
"Van Halen was never about the singer..." - a very wise fan.

I really liked hearing the on-the-spot, unamplified, background vox from Eddie & Mike!
As many have said before... an essential ingredient! Those harmonies were/are awesome.

The guys were really having a good time in this video, and this time frame for that matter!!!
Look how long Ed's hair was! Not too shabby for a brand new dad... LOL.

Another one of my items on the wish list for a boxset is, having the Cabo Wabo opening footage/gig included!
    Fingers crossed...

Those harmonies on the spot were awesome. Ed didn't need to shit on Mike to point out that his voice was a part of that too as this clip aptly shows.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

    Agreed!

"The King" has had some flawed moments, performances, comments, and such... Still love his playing & music though!

Pure speculation, but I wonder if Ed's vocal criticism of Mike would have been made if Wolf wasn't in VH (I.e. Fans being "vocal" about background vocals).

He should just call Edward, but he won't.

I'll tell ya what, I LOVE the song Cabo Wabo right now, the harmonies are just incredible when Sam is singing "I want to crash on the beach" and Ed and Al are backing him up they just sound INCREDIBLE. Right now, it's one of my favorite tunes, so laid back so cool, it's spring time here and this song just screams fun, fun, fun.

I love that song and I love the way the band was in that above clip. I miss those guys a lot, I really, really do.

Cabo Wabo is just a great tune.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

CW IS a great song. Too bad we haven't heard Ed play it in so so long.

Shouldn't have opted out on the cantina, Edward.
