I agree. Not so sure about others who so vehemently oppose abortion under any circumstance though - and then despise those same babies (and their mothers) for being poor and / or needing financial support.

That's arbitrary. My four year old nor my two year old could not survive on their own right now either. The whole argument about leaving the womb is just justification to murder babies.

These 'anti-women's-right-to-choosers' (I won't use the term 'pro-life' because I too am pro-life - 'pro-the-woman's-life') are also the first to hurl abuse at single mothers, blaming them and their children for most of society's ills. Babies though - oh yes - they're just cute!'
I replied in the Trump thread.

In a nut shell here it is.

If a woman isn't financially able to pay for a kid she should
    a) use two forms of birth control. One for her and one for the guy
    b) don't have sex

Sex is an act that can have unintended consequences. One gets in a car to drive. To lessen the chances of getting injured, we developed seat belts. However on top of that we added air bags too. If a woman is worried that if she gets knocked up she can't afford the kid, well take the pill and make the guy wear a condom. Or get your tubes tied and make the guy wear a condom. Have your husband get his tubes cut and go on the pill. Or just masturbate. You can't get pregnant if you don't have sex.

    Rape is a different story.

I find accountability to be a bit more pleasing to society and our culture than using abortion as birth control.

I am pro choice as well. I just think it should be used because one is too lazy to use birth control. Use two types to make it almost impossible to get pregnant.

I think it's a fairly safe assumption that if the law changes in the States whereby ALL abortion is illegal, there'll be even more youngsters growing up in poverty and being shot. Of course, I doubt those supporting a change in the abortion laws will care much about that. Kids are only to be cherished when they haven't been born, right?

It's not being disrespectful - it's actually what it is in the first stage. Are you suggesting that when a teen finds out she pregnant for example and decides she is too young and has an abortion, she is killing a human being that is literally goo at this stage.

How come that teen is never "too young" to not have sex?

    That's the more important question.

I answered you in the other thread. I wasn't satisfied with your remarks there, and I'm not here either.

Your comments seem to absolve men of any significant responsibility. Nor do they take into account the reality of how many men behave.

One of the funniest things that I find about pro-lifers is that they will fight to the death to ensure that you are born - but once you are born, they don't give a shit about you and rant on about personal responsible and I don't want to take care of anyone else's kids, you are on your own and we don't want to hear from you.

Well maybe it was best if they had actually had the abortion since you no longer care about the fetus that became a life that you were fighting for. The only other time when pro-lifers care about a fetus that was born is when it's old enough to serve in the military and get killed.

This goes beyond the liberal/progressive mindset that people ought to just do whatever the hell they want and the hell with accountibility.

I had a scare with my girlfriend when I was 19 or 20. Missed period, thought she was pregnant. My mindset at that time was that I would do what I had to to take care if that child. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Fortunately the missed period was caused by a different medical issue so that never became reality, but the thought of demanding an abortion or bailing never crossed my mind.

I used teen as an example of someone likely to have an abortion. So fine - the 25 year old that gets pregnant and is not ready to have a baby.

Not from my perspective. I've read your posts about "invaders" and with all due respect find that language about an unborn child to be disgusting.
