Ok, the part around the 7:30 mark is just absolutely untrue.

To paint with such a broad brush and say that all Americans outside of elite's living in New York City or Silicon Valley all "hate" other demographics is just a blatant lie. If all Canadians think that way, it sheds some light on many of your posts, and I am not saying that to pick a fight with you.

Just let me tell you this...that is absolutely, 100% false.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

For every 1 thing that's different there's 50 that are the same. Not very different at all to be honest.

Agreed. But how different is that from Obama’s infamous, “they cling to their guns and Bibles” quote? I think the commentator is also confusing multiculturalism and melting pot. Melting pot = assimilation. We were a melting pot and really achieved being a melting pot up until we decided that expecting more recent immigrants to “melt” into our fabric was bigoted, racist, evil, Hilter-ish, etc.

Maybe the point is excessive, but I do think there is some truth to it per parts of the country if you go state by state.

Assimilation was also what was intended by Indian Residential Schools. In the Indigenous rights field, assimilation is a dirty word.

We learned from that cultural genocide experiment just how important culture is to individuals and community well-being.

That's true in every country, and it varies from race to race.

As a non-Asian in Japan, you will get some racism, I've been told "no round eyes" while in Japan, but dear God, if you are a non-Japanese Asian in Japan, it's unbelievable how openly racist they can be.

And while black people in America inarguably get the brunt of racism, in Canada it's First Nation, in many parts of Europe it's still the Jews. It's just too complex an issue to make any type of sweeping generalizations like that gentleman is making.

Not that this is an excuse, but the First Nation population is so small - that it's not something that people really ever see personally. I probably haven't seen more than 20 First Nation people my entire life. America is full of black people and racism is evident every single day.

Don't buy into the sensationalism of our news cycle on it.

95% of Americans are not racist...at least. It just happens that our 5% is REALLY racist.

Seems you Canadians have this view of Americans that we all love Jesus, hate blacks, can't read but we sure as shit know how to clean a gun. If that is what you are buying into you should be ashamed of yourself.

And personally, I am getting sick and tired of watching or reading Canadians act all high and mighty about race relations, when 75% of their country is white, and they take an absolute steaming pile of shit on 4% of their population.

Fix your own problems before you start pointing out ours.

If you are so intent on the race issues in the world, why don't you start with Europe, where they openly call blacks monkeys and openly spit on Jews when they walk down the street?

    Just a thought.

Or is Europe too "progressive" for you to poke at?
