Wow... never heard this before. That was...... um..... very odd....

Alex was pretty whacked out on this one. He usually sounds fairly intelligent in most interviews but it sounds like he was acting live Dave in this one. Very bizarre!

Some people are inherently witty and funny. Al is not.

ya know i think you have a good point there. Your comment might supposed to be sarcastic but when i listen to old interviews when Dave & Al were doing the interview together it was usually funny. There aren't a lot but the handful I'e seen or heard I think those two really are pretty fun together.

I feel like Al grounds and even challenges Dave a little bit when they are together which makes him check his goofiness at the door a bit and focus more, while Dave loosens up Al. They work well together off stage. I think they are both super intelligent guys that enjoy each other even though they are cut from a completely different cloth.

Yeah, of all the '78-84 ints I never heard that one before. I thought it was fun--in an obnoxious way! Those interviews back then were classic. Always fucking hilarious...especially obviously DLR. The band altogether was the tops. Cue acapella "Theme to 2001"...
