    Default Fingerstyle rendition of Jump

I thought this was kind of cool and maybe some of you will too. I've been trying to learn (slowly) finger picking and came across this.

Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

He played it in drop D instead of standard C. Probably for the harmonics.

The gentleman has a great touch and feel. Very smooth voice leadings and counter melodies. Awesome technique, and very musical too.

This guitar rendition proves what I've often said - that even with synth tones originally presenting the notes/chords/motifs - the actual music being performed was incredible!
Kudos to this guy for "getting it", and kudos to Eddie for coming up with such an infectious tune.

    Nice, I really enjoyed that

To bookend this with one of their other most popular songs, check out Ben Lacy covering WCTBL:

    Wow, that's also completely awesome!
Nice control and fluid touch. Loved the jazzy feel to this one. I'd love to hear Edward and Co. do a more guitar orientated version of WCTBL, similar to this, but with their hard rocking sound...

I could picture Ed & Sammy doing this acoustically, at that school fundraiser, where Ed used the Parker Fly guitar.
    Nice find.

Ben Lacy is a master of covering songs acoustically. He has a ton of them on YouTube and gigs regularly. Check him out

Great rendition of Jump. I love the finger pickin' sound.
Due to an unfortunate injury I'll never finger pick good, but I'm still trying.

    I agree, very cool.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

    Amazing performance.

But I'm not sure if I'd want to practice as much as this guy did, considering how unhappy it made him look in the video! He needs to look at the VH video to get the vibe.

Hey, you didn't comment on Sammy's melodies in the WCTBL cover video that was posted!
