Honestly... I saw Smash Mouth (yes, that band) do a cover of Running With The Devil - it was amazing. I wish I could find it again / download it.

the 3 covers that were actually professionally recorded by the Atomic Punks of Get The Show On The Road, Bullet head and She's the Woman back in the 90's.

they're great, sound exactly like the versions VH played in the clubs (except for parts where the band later used parts of those songs for other officially released songs)

Yeah. Racking my brain trying to think of one that doesn't suck. Adrenaline Mob play ok, but those tupperware drums and vacuum packed guitar are terrible. And the the big overdubbed solo... just makes me wonder what take it was.

Sorry. Pissy tonight. Something positive - pretty shitty audio, but Nuno was the only one I could watch much out of all the MacAlpine tributers. Does Ed justice.

I loved the "bedroom's calling, keeps me going" in lieu of "I'm takin' whiskey to..." part of "Get the Show on the Road." Well done.

Likewise. The studio versions sound kinda generic, too me. Some okay live stuff. Like this. I wouldn't but any of it, but it's not bad.

Studio recorded stuff... haven't heard one I like yet.

I always say any cover version should have a different slant to the original otherwise what's the point. hard rock (sorry I mean metal) covers of VH tunes seem pointless to me
