    Since I've never even heard of this model, my obvious answer would be "no" to your question...
    Sorry 'bout that, because I like to try and offer guitar help/advice when I can.

    What's the difference between the model you posted about, and prior FR trems?

    I think it might be up to you to tell us how the FRX worked out! Seriously, I'm interested.

    Youtube it.

    It looks like a great and easy idea if you want a Floyd on your LP. I guess it works pretty good otherwise they wouldn't release it. Cant imagine it being cheap though...
    If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

    This model basically takes the place of the tune-o-matic bridge. So you don't have to route the body or cut anything but 2 small holes around the nut.

    I've watched the video of Floyd himself putting one on an SG. But this is what I'm worried about and is why I'm asking;

    From the website:

    *NOTE: On some Les Pauls, particularly LP Customs, the neck angle is not sufficient to allow the FRX to work without slight modification to the body. The receiving portion of the spring tension transfer rod on the base plate extends slightly below the bridge and may rest on the body unless a tiny channel is routed.

    Ohhh, right.
    I did see a blurb about that on YT, and just didn't know what it was called. Seems like a great idea for LP/SG players who want in on the action, so to speak.
    Ever since I saw those old photos of Eddie & Les Paul with Ed's Floyd equipped LP, I've thought it was a neat idea.

    Let us know how it works out for you, fudd.
