While this kid was out delivering papers in the rain, to pay for all that gear, he
was inside playing all the instruments.
He ended up getting better & kicked himself out of the band.

I didn't see him playing bass. Maybe Ed didn't show him the notes...

Ahh, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Guy's good, no question.

I have an old tape somewhere where I did the same thing only I did ATBL. This was probably close to 20 years ago so I did it on a Tascam 4 track that was "state of the art" bedroom 4 track recording technology back in the day. So I don't even have video of it, just audio, but it was kind of fun "playing with yourself."

Two things come to mind. One, ATBL is a lot easier than LUTS to pull off. Also, I'm pretty sure this sounds better than what I did, but I'm not going to lie I was proud to have an instrumental ATBL that I played guitar, drums, and bass on and that was at least recognizable for what the song was.

I did that on my iPhone with the same song. Just fucking around. I'll post it one day but I'm very self conscious of my playing.

Check out his version of Ed's live solo from this last tour too. Its spot on. He's pretty damn good and he made one of the "new" EVH reliced Wolfgangs too.
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

Heck, I still have mine! It's packed away up in the closet right next to my first multi-fx pedal, a Zoom 9000. I'm about 99% sure they both still work, too!

However, finding a blank cassette tape anywhere in my home is probably next to impossible...

Heh, heh, I was digging through a box in my basement yesterday looking for something when I came across the power adapter for the Tascam. Have no idea what happened to the actual unit. I'm pretty sure it stopped working for some reason and I threw it away. We made some decent stuff with that thing for rank amateur musicians. But yeah, good luck finding cassette tapes to use with it anymore even if I still had it.

Found my old NADY wireless one too. Wonder if it still works...

Where did all the time go?
