Default VAN HALEN KILLED EVERYBODY 38 Years Ago February 10 1978 Anniversary

FEBRUARY 10 1978 Rock and Roll creamed it's jeans like a whore on payday when Van Halen's first album was released.

It was a godsend from God for those who like to rock.

No other debut album will ever measure up to it the absolute pinnacle of Rock.

EVH KILLED EVERYBODY when this album came out.

Blackmore, Page, Joe Perry, Ted Nugent

Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Ronnie Montrose, Frank Marino

Micheal Schenker- Poor little German Boy thought he was going to be the next big thing.

    VAN HALEN

Blows the motherfucking shit out of everything ever released since it came out it's the best.

Read about it at the VHND

IMO, still the greatest rock and roll album of all-time.

It was so good upon its release in 1978 that it actually went back to 1968 and killed everything there as well. Unseated the Beatles White Album if I recall correctly...

That accolade belongs to Fair Warning, not the debut.

While I don't share your opinion, I understand it. Also, quite a few people on this website agree with you.

Four guys, four nobodies, first album, Disco reigned, Hard rock was supposedly on it's death bed,
They seemingly had no shot in that musical landscape....

    BUT THEY DID IT:

Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Michael Anthony.

They built that sonic spaceship together.
They paid their dues in the clubs, refining it, together.

1978 was as big as 1969, imo.

It's always been a great shame that Van Halen's greatest work is almost universally unknown by the general public. VH1 and '84 get all the glory.

Squalen, did you read Renoff's book?

BTW, glad you're back AND that you got rid of the Bard.
