    Appetite
    Led Zeppelin
    The Doors
    Are You Experienced
    Black Sabbath
Piper At The Gates of Dawn

Not sure about the rest at the moment.

What ranks Boston so highly? Outside of More Than A Feeling and a couple of others, I'm not that familiar with them. Am I missing out?

Van Halen far and away the greatest. The rest in no particular order:

    Led Zeppelin
    Alice In Chains
    Tool
    Cream
    Jimi Hendrix Experience
    The Cars
    Boston
    Mahavishnu Orchestra
    The Joy Formidable

Damn, forgot ACDC. I guess I'd bump either Cream or the Cars for High Voltage.

Good man. Even though their debut is by far my least favorite album by them, Tool is still easily the best band that came out of the 90s.

I have Aenima blasting in the car on my home from work right now

I'll go with Alice In Chains as the best band to come out of the 90's.

yeah you and I are opposite when it comes to Tool . My faves are Opiate and Undertow. After that they lose me a bit. But Aenima does have some killer tunes. It's all the slower tempo, long-ass songs I could take or leave ;-)

They're great too. I prefer the musicianship of the guys in Tool, though. All three stellar players, especially when Justin Chancellor came on board at bass. He's probably why I think they got so much better after their debut. He was the missing link.

But Layne Staley is one of the greatest singers of all time, and he and Jerry's harmonies are right up there with VH's.

Lol, yep I remember that! To me, their long songs are always interesting because they usually have so many time changes, there is always something going on and Danny Carey is one of my favorite rock drummers to listen to.

Yes, you are "missing out" if you think the Boston debut only had a couple of good songs.

No, I meant I'm not that familiar with Boston outside of the radio / movie songs. Don't think I've ever listened to the whole album. I will have to search it out and give it a listen over the weekend.

Most likely, you will have heard just about every track on the radio at one time or another. It's one of those classic albums, like Van Halen I or The Cars, where everything has gotten radio play.
