Default Uncirculated Wild Life track "Seduction"

I accidentally came across a copy of The Wild Life I had on VHS from 1986. Sadly, the movie won't play beyond the first 15 minutes or so. However, I had forgotten how much I absolutely effing love the groove that is played in the background when the a-hole cop comes and seduces Anita at the donut shop. As I had never seen any title associated with this track, I called it "Seduction" for reference as that kind of makes sense.

I'm not sure you'll ever heard a cooler clip of absolutely badass clean lead guitar licks by Ed anywhere else. The clean guitar lead is balanced out by what I would describe as the most raunchy and cool synth line around -- it growls and is absolutely vicious. Ed goes off into Holdsworth territory here big time.

My tape was so brutal that the sound I was able to capture is very lo-fi and really not that great. I'd love to get a better version at some point soon. Nevertheless, I've been enjoying this killer uncirculated track for a few days and figured I'd share it.

I love that VHND has the complete song recordings -- but there is a never-ending gold mine of licks and short tracks throughout the entire movie -- all of which really, really needs to be brought out.

I love that one, too, Kevin! That one is one of my favorites. The full 2 minute track will be on VHND before too long.

My fav from the soundtrack... it plays when the donuts are being made

When I heard the intro to ADKOT's "You and Your Blues"... I instantly thought about the rhy/synth groove in THIS piece... not exactly the same, but similar...

Some serious outside playing from Edward, blowing like a fusion guy.

It kinda depresses me that his style got safer & safer, post 1984.
FW & 1984, those albums, illustrate his most creative lead playing (wait for it, wait for it),
    IMO.

Actually the link works fine, my internet at work sucks. I had forgotten this part! This is the kind of playing I always like to hear from Ed. Quirky, with some impressive technique thrown in.

That was awesome to hear EVH playing something out of his "comfort zone".

Great licks from the wunderkind!!! Definitely a "mad scientist" vibe to his approach, with a healthy dose of falling down the stairs and landing on his feet.
Ed's just got a natural touch. Doesn't matter if it's a Plexi Marshall, a raging 5150III, a volume rolled off semi-clean, an Eventide effected track, etc. It's all there in the hands/heart/mind of EVH.

Kind of cool that he used a similar type of feel on the Big Fat Money solo.
Many people have been asking or hoping for an Eddie Van Halen solo album. I think the Wild Life soundtrack would be a superb first installment!!! Thanks, Kevin

The Wild Life tracks are pure gold to me.

It's all pure Edward in 1984.

Can't wait to hear the full track. I think this is Ed at the peak of his powers. The 84-85-86 years contain some of Ed's most creative moments.
