Default Wolfgang Special Toggle Switch Problem - Neck position

Has anyone had problems with the switch not activating in the neck position? If I toggle it back and forth, it eventually clicks in but....

I had this on my tobacco burst, first, and now, I am having the issue on my Stealth...and I don't change that switch too much.

Maybe I'm sweating and the contact is corroding?

Any suggestions would help, but I'm more interested if you guys have has this problem. Both my models are the MIJ version.

    Thanks in advance!

I actually have that problem on my USA stealth. It was there almost from the get go. I was a little annoyed at first, but since I rarely ever switch to that position, it has become a defacto kill switch for me. Probably something with the wiring though. Might be able to tweak it on your own if you feel comfortable

One thing you guys can try is checking the contacts closely.
It may be nothing more than a little sawdust/finishing debris that has collected on one side or the other. I had this on my Gibson selector. I took off the cover and could not see anything really initially, and when I moved the selector, I was getting nothing from the bridge pup, but you could clearly see the tang moving and making firm contact, so I thought wiring too, but I looked real close, and it looked like there was some stuff kind of pressed on the dimple of the tang that makes contact. Real hard to see. I just took a microfiber cloth I had kicking around, dipped in some alcohol, and gently rubbed the contact areas. The stuff looked like finishing, or rubbing compound as it was kind of white, powdery looking on the cloth. I've had a little sawdust interfere with things too. They don't always clean the cavities particularily well at the factory before installing the electronics, especially on import models, and just with moving the guitar around, debris can fall into where it shouldn't and cause issues. Especially on those open selector switches.
I bet that's all it is. (edit: Hope that's all it is.)

Hit it lightly with compressed air or contact cleaner. Do not get contact cleaner on the paint though.

When I bought my first Kramer around 1986, I had this problem too. It turned out that one of the pickup wires was pinched by the pup foot and screw in the pup cavity.

I'll give the compressed air a shot. Thanks everyone. Hopefully it is something as simple as that.

Wow. My USA Stealth is exactly the same! Been that way since day one. Once I slap it back and forth a couple times it works fine. But that first switch to the neck it either cuts out or is half power.

FYI my EBMM Axis is exactly the same. But that took a while to start acting up.

My 2009 USA wolf has had the same problem since day one. I even resoldered the leads on the switch. It's like it needs to be warmed up. It's really cold up on Canada so we expect these things.

I literally just fixed the same problem on my Gibson an hour ago. If contact spray doesn't work, pull the switch out and check the soldering. If that is ok then eye the switch while flicking it and see if it isn't touching on the one side. This was it in my case. I took some needle nose plyers and gave it a quick pinch and it works great.
FWIW, I've never done this sort of thing before and it was a really easy fix so don't be too worried if you are trying it for the first time.
