Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    2015: 39 shows / total $26 million gross / $722,222 per show

BUT... Maybe the expenses were less in 2015, compared to 2012

They definitely sold more Alcohol in the outdoor summer sheds!
but also attendance...is up per show! 2015 the most successful/well attended VH tour since the 90's!

    2015 (10,459)
    2012 (10,108)
    2008 (10,190)
    2004 (9,868)

Just to complete the comparison, I added the 07-08 Tour:

    2008: 76 shows / total $95 million gross / $1,250,000 per show
    2012: 49 shows / total $54 million gross / $1,102,000 per show
    2015: 39 shows / total $26 million gross / $722,222 per show

No, Sam is not the answer. They need to keep ticket prices lower (Azoff is a greedy bastard who was so proud of himself for being the manager of the first band, The Eagles, that could charge over $100 for tickets decades ago). Get a better known opening act like Boston, Styx, etc. Release a new cd before the tour. Get somebody smarter to book the dates for them (play Va Beach for the first time since 98 ilo Raleigh, why play in a open field in some small city in Canada?). The main problem with this tour was the ticket prices were too high.
No the main problem was David Les Roth can't sing and perform at a professional level. Which is why Sammy is needed.

And if you don't think Azoff is already telling Eddie they need Sammy back for more money, you're crazy.

They won't make more money out on tour with Sam, there is zero reason to expect that they will play to larger crowds with Sam at the mic. None. VH Mach IV has been playing to some of the largest average crowds of their careers, and yet all everyone talks about is how big a failure they are.

Please post one piece of tangible evidence to lead us to believe otherwise besides the simple fact you like Sam better.

How about the fact that social media, YouTube etc exist? Hagar can deliver, Roth cannot. If you don't think good reviews on Facebook etc go a far way I'm not sure what to tell you.

Couple that with Sammy not fronting the band in over 10 years and you'd see better sales. No question.

Actually I think the novelty of having Sam back would, to me at least, be more of a draw than the 2015 tour. Plus Sam has a more crossover appeal than Dave nowadays. Other than Sam being a little bitch.

    See. Not biased.

One bad thing I didn't like about this tour:

The location of Sheds in relation to a City's downtown....

I like them playing Arenas better because they are usually downtown where all the action is...

I noticed a lot of these sheds are built in the suburbs, where they can get the needed land and parking, and its not always the easiest place to get to...

I vote for ARENAS next time

I think you guys are out of your minds, but I'm tired of waving the "please don't change the damn lineup" again flag. Carry on.

You live in alternate universe. Just like radio is split 70/30, iTunes, etc... Social media is probably a similar split and see far more talk for the original band. yes there is a fair amount of people that don't like the 2015 version of DLR.

I'll give you this... not so sure which would bring out more people... a 4th tour w DLR.... or a tour w Sammy. It's either "same old thing" or something "new" (to an extent)

I love the sheds. Much better acoustics usually. Drinking and tailgating in the parking lot before the show. Watching VH storm the stage while the sun is setting, hard to beat man.

Shit Hagar can draw anywhere from 5-10K on his own.
