    Good Enough.

    https://soundcloud.com/cp5150/not-good-enough

Just dropped the E to A and off we went. Same as last clip except I used the red channel and turned the delay up a tad. It was too quiet. I kept forgetting how the song goes and stopped. Fortunately I did learn how to piece a song together in GarageBand. So at least I learned some thing today. Solo(you'd think I'd do it better or at least get closer), interlude and last section were all done in three parts. I couldn't remember what came next. All were second tries that I used though. So there's still plenty of seat o' my pants happening. I don't like how this sounds as much. But I wanted the extra gain for the harmonic stuff. It is fun to play in dropped A though!

It's funny that way isn't it? I used to drink to deal with that nervous shit.
I've been sober for the most part for years, and I'm better than I was, but yeah, I still flub too. I just try to forget the eyes watching, and just play. It's easier said than done though.
There's seasoned performers who've played for decades that still get the jitters...Some still puke before going on stage! Don't sweat it! Nerves are normal.

    Flat out, balls out, awesome!!!
That was very cool my friend. Thanks so much for taking the time to do that and share it with us! You dialed in a superb tone and effects match, the playing was off the charts, and the energy was there in full force. Very impressive.

Great rendition of a great song.

Wow! Thanks guys! After throwing that together I realized how easy it would have been to do a more accurate version. Playing wise. Felt lame showing it here. Your kind words are making me feel good today! I feel some Carnal Knowledge coming soon.

I did two quick videos after work tonight. They're both a mash-up/clusterfuck/medley of VH songs strung together for their respective era. Sorry about the quality. You'll have no problem realizing recording isn't my thing. I used a Logitech HD webcam and Yeti stereo mic. I'm open to any and all criticism

    5150-OU812 tone:

Pitchfactor was set to 949-2 with a 6 cent stereo detune and 50% mix

    Carnal Knowledge/Balance tone:

Pitchfactor was set to Micropitch with a 9 cent stereo detune and 65% mix

Freaking epic, my friend!!! Very cool of you to do all of that! Sweet looking 5150 guitar too. Loved the SOI tapping into the Cabo Wabo riffs. Nice tone, nice playing! Great to hear those parts played by a fan of that music. Kudos.

Totally digging the second video too. I'll never get tired of hearing The Dream is Over riffs, and literally got goosebumps when you launched into Top of the World! Killer vibe.
Sweet EBMM as well. My favorite EVH guitar - hands down. Two thumbs way up!

Thanks very much for the kind words guys! I put a lot of time trying to dial in that Balance tone. It's probably still not perfect but it's about as close as I think I can get given my setup.

Drolaw your PS-6 should do that tone pretty well too man. Set it to Detune and for OU812 and back use the + or - 5 detune setting and dial in the mix to taste. For Carnal Knowledge and forward use the + or - 10 detune and again dial in the mix to taste. If by chance you're running it in stereo those '3-voice harmony' settings using the 5 or 10 cent detune will work even better. I'm not really a huge fan of Boss pedals but I had the PS6 before I got my Eventide and the Boss kicks ass!

Every time I watch some of you MF'ers play I'm really embarrassed that I ever post any of my stuff on here.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Very impressed by this clip and StealthMan5150's clips. Are you using an H9 here or the chorus pedal setup that you described before?
