Default NAD! Splawn Street Rod 50 watt head

I haven't had much time to play with it yet. But, so far, in the 30 minutes that I have had, I'm loving it! I've only been able to play it at low volume, since it's so late. Master at 12:00, controlling overall volume with the loop volume.

Not to nitpick, but this is probably in the wrong thread, led.

I'll go ahead and move it on over to the "Beautiful Girls" thread for ya...

That's a nice looking set up! Hope the new Splawn does what you want it to.
One beauty of a Peavey Wolf, as well!

Let me know how the clean channel does on that amp. Will it stay clean at club gig volumes? Would be nice to have a single amp that can do both the pedal driven clean amp Gilmour stuff and the dimed plexi classic VH and other 80's JCM800 stuff via foot switch.

I'm just not sold on the 5150iii amp myself either. I have a Bugera 1960 I got for $165 shipped that variac'd down to 72 volts sounds way better than a 5150iii for classic VH.

Well I'm partial to the 5150 as I've owned it for the better part of the year but I'd say it doesn't mimic the classic VH as it wasn't designed and built for. The Splawns I've owned I felt didn't nail the classic VH tone but then again I can't play like Ed either. The Splawn does one heck of a hot rodded Marshall tone and for a great price and top will quality build and customer service. I'll most likely buy another in the future
