Yeah, and Van Halen is going to find out (if they ever release anything), that a lot of people are not thinking about them.

4 years is a long time. Too long for a classic band like Van Halen not to release any news, or music.

that truely stinks!

I often wonder if VH3 did poorly in part because of fan backlash.

That's a line from my favorite VH song WHY CAN'T THIS BE LOVE!!!!

Four years went by fast!

I remember I was sick the day that VH was on Howard Stern and I got up early and taped it off the radio. I also remember I thought Dirty Water Dog was awesome when I first heard it on that show, and I still do.:}

That is quite possibly the lamest lyric that Sammy ever came up with in a Van Halen song.

WCTBL is still one of my favourites, has some awsome guitar in it, the kewboards were such a wicked sound that Ted Nugent called Ed and asked what the hell he was doing with his guitar now. I thought it was the perfect song to kick off a new era with.

VH3-I really liked Without You, I can still listen to that song, however, I would rather hear Sammy sing it, that would have improved the song imencely. But I liked the shear 'funk' sound of it.

Dare I also say I really liked 'Once', it was probably the best mixed and produced song, I lust loved the guitars in it, and I appreciated the new direction. But 'Fire in the Hole' I found boring, and the clipping of the guitars makes me wonder what drug was involved during mixing and mastering.

VH3 had it's moments, just not enough of them. The vocals were, i dunno, too much yelling and not enough performance which obviously was Eddie trying to get a Sammy sound out of Gary. Real shame. Lessons learned hopefully.

it's obviously one of the major reasons

another reason is =="there's a fiiii-ya in the hole!!"

and I think that the Sammy fans were mad that he sounded too much like Sammy

but when you wheel out Hannibal Lecter to talk to the senator and then send him back to Baltimore, you can't blame him for having an old friend for dinner

"Only time will tell if we stand the test of time." - That is lame. It just doesn't sound right. Hagar gets far too much credit than he deserves for his lyrical performance in most VH songs.

I was just at the Creed board the other day and they were whining because they have to wait until November for the next Creed album. Try waiting 4 years.

I don't know too many who have gotten laid listening to the second line there.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Chicago White Sox (1901-present) - The Original SOX - Proof

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.
