I don't see anything wrong with that at all! Haha.
    Nice looking rig.

How's the Line 6 effects tweaking going?

It's going good. The only thing I don't like about the Line 6 is the slight dropout when changing patches.

I'm also not really digging the Greenbacks in my 2x12. I'm wondering if different speakers would work better.

I`ve got two 5150 50 watt heads. One of them I did like you and did the tube swap as recommended by Dougs tubes and I`m using that with a 2x12 w/Scumback M75 which are Greenback clones and I really like the sound I`m getting from it. The 2nd head I got about three weeks ago and its still got the stock tubes which sound surprisingly good and I`m using that with a 4x12 loaded with 2 Celestion V30s and 2 Celestion G12H30s in an X pattern and it sounds huge with some serious thump as I`ve got that setup in the living room and I can crank it up a but. The V30/G12H30 is a pretty popular combo and Avatar speakers sells them already broken in as their Hellatone speakers

I have a Veteran 30 and an ET65 that I may try swapping. I wonder if that's why EVH went with G12H30s in the 2x12? Maybe 2 Greenbacks doesn't work as well as 4?

There's two 25 watt greenbacks in the 5150 III 2x12 combo. Sounds pretty damn good to me.

Gotta love a Peavey Wolfgang in tobacco. I've got one and played it almost exclusively for about 12 years. Retired it and bought a USA Wolfgang Stealth. But that Peavey still calls my name. It's such a great guitar it's hard to put down!

I think he was talking about the combo not the cab

The Tobacco finish has to be my favorite on the Wolfgang guitars. I need to pick one up.

That's a beautiful rig, and a perfect Saturday night in my opinion!
Yeah...I know what you mean about that dropout you get...I don't own a Line 6, but I get that same annoying drop on my Univibe. I love the pedal, but man....It's real noticeable when you click it on or off. My old Peavey 5150 used to do that too when switching channels on the footswitch...Used to drive me nuts. You always expect there to be a noticeable change in the sound, but it's that momentary loss of sound that gets me. You'd think by now with all the silent switching stuff out there, it'd be a standard deal.

As far as the Greenbacks, what is it you don't like about them? I know when they are fairly new, they tend to sound a bit bright and brittle, but over time, they warm up a lot.
It's just their design. I used to use 2 of them in the top of a 4x12 with two older higher efficiency Randall's in the bottom for different sound options when micing in my recording rig.
When I got them, I could take or leave them to be honest. I thought they were maybe just not what they once were, or the quality control was bad...I didn't know. I'd played old cabs with GB's in them, and they sounded worlds better than what I was hearing out of mine.

I actually favored the Randalls to mic up for quite a while after buying them, and I was kinda disappointed because so many people spoke so highly of them, but after a year or so, I started really liking the sound out of the GB's. They just developed a much smoother more rounded tone instead of the almost "clipping" crackle sound they had out of the box. They just seem to need to really break in and wear a bit.

I'd like to know if this is what you are finding with them or not, or if something else is the issue that's not jiving with you.
