Well, I sold my two tickets on StubHub and used that money to buy a 7th row ticket for $180. I'm beyond excited.

Rain in Charlotte area now. Hope it doesn't get down there.

We train dogs for cattle and sheep herding. They're very different. Sheep are a lot like supermodels - they bunch together, they rattle very easily. Cattle are like drunks at a hockey game - two will want to fight: "Who are you and what's with your badge?"

Two of them will be like: "Leave them alone, let's go see the game." Another one is lost: "Where'd you guys go?" The dog has to deal with all of that. You work them off a whistle. It's the original video game.

Van Halen reminded us last night of why we loved them in the first place. They helped us to get past all the bullshit around us and remind us to have a little fucking fun in the midst of it all. - Reckless Fable

I saw them on May 5th 2008 at the RBC Center. I'm from Philly and was in town on business. I saw them the previous October (10/3/07) in Philly which was the 3rd night of the tour. I enjoyed it okay in Philly but was bored in Raleigh.
Why? Because is was exactly the same. I had been there done that.
My conundrum in this day and age is, we know the set list...we have already seen countless youtube videos....there doesn't seem to be a thrill of anticipation these days. I mean, you know exactly what you are going to get tonight.

That's very true, but I'm giddy just thinking about hearing "Light Up the Sky" and the other rarities live. Plus, the quality of the musicianship will draw me in every time. Motley Crue was another band I loved as a teenager, but I couldn't bring myself to throw money away for a half-assed show anymore. At least Ed, Wolf, and Al bring it consistently.

Carnival of Sins was one of the greatest shows I ever saw. Why do you think that The Crue mails it in?

Yeah, I was at that RBC Center show, and the crowd did seem pretty tame, but that didn't stop me from letting loose, lol. I haven't seen them live since that night, and haven't been to Walnut Creek in years, so I am looking forward to having a fun night and hopefully partying with some old-school VH fans. It's certainly not gonna be boring...

KWS on their last song. They are now upgrading people's grass tickets to pavilion seats for free.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -
