I hope that Dave is still working with VH, but if he is working on a solo album, how about a new summer tour with Dave and Sam and their own solo bands playing all our favorite solo stuff and VH stuff from all eras without any lengthy (read boring) solos. Dave and Sam have always put the most effort into the live shows, anyway.

I bet they could get Gary's new band "Tribe of Judah" to be the opening act to really rub it in while Ed, Al and Mikey circle jerk themselves into obscurity.

Logistically, I don't ever see such a tour taking place, but it would sure embarrass the fuck out of the Lying Dutchmen, wouldn't it?

That would be pretty neat, but the only problem with that is getting Dave to sing more than 1 solo song a night is about as easy as getting FORD to say he likes Sammy "It's ain't gonna happen."

yeah, it would, but i don't think dave and sam could stand each other enough to be on the same stage on the same night.
would be a pretty cool show though.

This tour won't happen of course, but I don't see why Dave and Sam would have real problems with each other.

Their problems are trace back to infantile feuding between rival bands. Both may have real issues -- betrayal, lying, etc. -- with the VH Bros., but Sam and Dave's issues are simply name-calling.

I think that they could probably put together a fucking awesome show -- Dave's BBQ philosophy and Sammy's Cantina philosophy are really very similar and compatible. Both are loyal to their fans and a tour like that would make the VH Bros. crazy.

If I were a promoter and could get them together, I'd make a big party out of it. Hell, with their notorious affinity for the weed, these 2 guys could headline that Hemp tour festival

I have always thought that if Dave and Sammy would actually meet, they would probably get along too. Both of their shows are party atmosphere type affairs.

It will never happen, but if it did, it would be a great double header. Mikey could play bass for DLR and make some cameos with Sam. It would be great!!!

Too bad neither one of them would be able to get over their egos long enough to figure out who should go on last.

Other way around, actually. Considering Mike and Sam are friends and all.

That would incredible! I would love to see that tour, although I would want a reunited Extreme with the Waboritas and DLR's solo band to be with Vai, Sheehan and Bissonette!

Sounds like this tour is taking shape (if only on VHForums.com).

Extreme (although they weren't so good on the ALAE tour), Sammy and the Waboritas, and the EEAS Band. That would be killer. A full-blast party on wheels. Fueled with Cabo Wabo tequila and Panama Red straight from Washington Square Park (it's like getting a pretzel and a coke for God's sake).

Give me that tour and Ed, Al and Mikey can circle jerk themselves until their arms fall off.

This would be something to see. Ed and Al sitting at home, while everyone else is out playing to the fan base.

IMO, this would sell. A promoter could make some money on this one.

I think we're onto something here. Let's try to set this tour up and really rub it in Ed, Al, and Mike's faces.
