I have one buddy who has showed some interest but it's still up in the air (and I'm not ragging the band, I'm just relaying my experience)
I had the same problem! Did you get to go?? My husband had to work today and there was no getting out of it. My son wasn't thrilled about lawn seats, so he didn't want to go. So I missed it. If there is a next time we ought to meet at the venue and hang out together!

I was upset yesterday, but I'm happy for those who went and had a great time.

I wanted to post my review thing since Friday but just have been busy.

Anyway, after seeing VH for the first time ever in Cleveland, I needed another show this tour because why the fuck not? So I jokingly asked a canadian friend who lives by Detroit. He saw them in Toronto and was down. We got lawn seats because we both spent a lot at the previous shows. This was my first time meeting this guy in person but I knew he wasn't going to kill me so I risked it. We hungout at a bar like 1/4 mile from the venue. (Hamlin's pub?) Ate some food, drank some Jack Daniels and met some cool VH fans. Then we get to the venue and I tell him we should ask what upgrades are available. So we ended up getting row 17 seats on Wolf's side for like $40 extra. Worth it, I thought. KWS was great as before. Hair cut and new bassist from the Cleveland show.

VH killed their set in the D. (Cleveland will always hold a special place in my heart) I think they performed better this time. Ed improvised more and was more interactive with fans. Dave was great, sounded better IMO. He did a split which was rad and Ed did 2 jumps! (right after his solo and seconds after I quit filming). Glad I got to see him do that famous jump and him playing both the circles and star guitars. I was expecting the bass to be loud in the mix from our seats but it was all well balanced. I could hear Wolf a lot better than Cleveland. If anyone goes to a show this year and says he isn't good, they need their head checked. Mike didn't cross my mind once.

So Jump is going on and I think, I am going to try for picks again since I lucked out in Cleveland. Got down there and nothing. But as I leave the front I snap a pic of Al's drums and on the stage side of the barricade there is a glimmer of a squiggle. I knew it was a pick. I politely asked a worker to hand it to me expecting him to keep it for himself. he handed it to me very on the down low and I thanked him. Last show I got 7 older Wolf picks (2007,2012) but this time it was the new 2015 one. Not the Kings version which I already have. I find my friend and he found 3 picks and gave one to some girl who was searching.

Man, I am one lucky guy. I had awesome seats for VH twice this year and I got picks both times! This summer was fucking amazing. My favorite of all time... so far.

My son just got diagnosed with low blood sugar, he had a blood glucose tolerance test yesterday and the nurse called me today and said it went down very low. So, I am glad I did not pressure him into going, and I am glad I didn't show any resentment towards him for backing out.

I already had the tickets for lawn. If I knew they were selling upgrades, that would have motivated me to go by myself. Sounds like you guys see an awesome show!! God, I hope they come back!

Apparently someone thought Ed played the Top Gun theme song and was an inspiration for Tom Cruise's character Maverick:

A great money making opportunity would be to sell this guy some VIP seats to the next Michael Jackson/Whitney Houston tour.
We train dogs for cattle and sheep herding. They're very different. Sheep are a lot like supermodels - they bunch together, they rattle very easily. Cattle are like drunks at a hockey game - two will want to fight: "Who are you and what's with your badge?"

Two of them will be like: "Leave them alone, let's go see the game." Another one is lost: "Where'd you guys go?" The dog has to deal with all of that. You work them off a whistle. It's the original video game.

I'm not sure I understand that post from that fan. So they were at the show, but sometime during it they gave their seats to some DLR fans?

    Huh?

At what point did they realize that they wouldn't be hearing any songs from Sam's time in the band?

I don't know to laugh or cry. The guy was disappointed because he didn't hear that?! He should of just stayed at home and watched his Top Gun dvd. That shit is too funny.
