Default VH Covers Black Sabbath in Club Days

    http://www.vhnd.com/2015/08/26/unear...morrows-dream/

Posted on VHND just amazing! Would be so cool to hear them do Drive My Car by The Beatles that starts during this song's fade out.

The first club days unreleased cover song exposed since 2003! The Gazzarri's one with "Make It Last," "Get Down Tonight," etc. was the most recent.

It's weird, it's like ever since I started collecting bootlegs ('95), there was always new/old tunes popping up virtually every year. Then, nothing for a couple of years and all of the sudden the aforementioned Gazzarri's one comes out with a Dave-singing-Sammy song and the infamous GDT...then nothing again, but this time for over a decade. Weird how it just stopped. Audio-wise, at least.

The best was in '05-'06 when the '80 St. Paul video footage surfaced....video is better, totally better.

Yeah- My curiosity is also burning to know which Queen tunes they did.....

Might have to patiently wait till Greg's book comes out this upcoming month. I know he said the list of cover tunes we so far know about that VH did back then will be doubled.

My guess would be Tie Your Mother Down or Keep Yourself Alive.....both could sound absolutely wicked. I've always loved Queen and felt the same high velocity raunchiness from some of their tunes akin to VH at times. ( Of course Queen were far more diverse overall. )

Most probably know and remember Michael White from The Boyz posted a short blurb and picture of himself with DLR at the LA Forum in '76 attending a Queen show.

Gotta thank Greg Renoff big time for sharing these recent previously unheard Gazzarri's tunes. Dynamite stuff for sure.

Here's the Beatles Drive My Car.

    Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep-YEAH!!!

" On a scale that ranges from deep dark depression to rip roaring fun ... most people idle between pissed off ...and not too pissed off " DLR 1997

I've got these discs with nothing but VH covering other songs from their club days. I'll have to take a look at them and see what Queen (If any) are on there.

Did you see this? Here's one I put out in 2010.

As a tribute to the late, great, Ronnie James Dio, the Van Halen News Desk has dusted off an old recording from our archives. It’s Van Halen covering the early Rainbow classic, “Man On The Silver Mountain!” This recording is from Van Halen’s club days…1976, to be exact. This is a totally UNCIRCULATED SOUNDBOARD recording, never before heard by anyone. It’s never been in any trader’s circles, or in any collector’s hands. (Some bootleg collectors do have a live version of Van Halen covering “Man On The Silver Mountain,” but this is a new recording, from a different performance entirely. This version sounds much better than the version that people have heard).

    Listen Here.

More will come later via VHND - probably next year. Hoping Greg might have some more unheard gems coming sometime soon...?

I've heard of them doing both "Now I'm Here" and "Sleeping on the Sidewalk." I believe the VH Encyclopedia said "Now I'm Here."

Oh I definitely heard that. I guess I meant "new old" songs we never heard them do, since there was another version "Silver" before.

    So more coming possibly? Giddy-up!

Yeah you're right...." Now I'm Here's" listed in the VHE.....I never noticed before....

....but I'm not so sure " Sleeping On The Sidewalk" makes sense since that Queen album came out in the fall of '77......VH had the first album recorded by then and didn't do as many covers in their club shows in late '77....(???)

I don't know if Greg Renoff has more. Hopefully! Well just have to see...

Through VHND, I'll be putting out lots of stuff. It's just overwhelming. I'm not sure exactly how to do it all. I guess I am stuck on trying to figure out what "the best" way to do it all is, which is totally paralyzing. But I'm so busy with other stuff now. Once the tour ends, I'll try to finally get it all going.
