Default Best of Wolfgang so far

I picked up the Tremonti record that Wolf plays on over the weekend. It's a very fast aggressive record (I've only been through it once). It's hard for me to listen to it and pick out a song that I think Wolf really shines on-not because he doesn't because there's a lot going on, it's very fast and I honestly have not tried to follow individual bass lines.

Wolf has 3 records under his belt so far (ADKOT, Tremonti's record and the live VH record), what in your opinion is a song that Wolf really shines on?

I'll reserve my answer for later, I think he's a very talented guy and I'm interested in seeing what you guys have to say about this.

(and please don't turn this into a MA bashfest or a Sam vs. Dave thread, if you're going to do that just leave the thread alone)

China Town is the first that comes to mind. His playing is great all over ADKOT, though.

I like the wacky intro to HBSD too. I remember in the GW interview he did with Ed, Wolf said a lot of people thought it was his Dad making the sounds in the intro but that it was him.

China Town and STW come to mind. I find Wolf's backing vocals really shine on the new Tremonti album too.

    what song specifically?

there's a lot going on and I had a hard time trying to pick anything out that wolf did (I'm not ragging on his performance, it would probably take a few listens to really pick out anything on it)

I dig WVH's little ode to the Beatles' "Day Tripper" beginning around the 2:58 mark of "Beats Workin" ...

i bought the new Tremonti album right as it came out. i can't pick a certain song cus i haven't memorized them yet, but heavy, fast, fun stuff. i feel you can hear him better in the VH stuff maybe just cus i know it more. also, the Tremonti stuff is so heavy and loud guitar/drums i can't pick Wolf out as clearly. Chinatown reminds of Shyboy with Vai/Sheehan. love both of those songs.

Yeah, Romeo and Mean Street from the Live LP both come to mind. He was playing some funky grooves in there.

Haven't heard Tremonti, but I gotta go with ADKOT. As JD said, he's pretty solid throughout the entire record.

The live record is full of good stuff, as well.

Honestly, I think they're even better on this tour. Love to hear another record.
