Default 5150 iii 50 watt Voodoo mods?

Does anyone have any feedback on these mods, http://www.voodooamps.com/home/Modif.../Default.aspx? They sound very appealing.

Hey man, I had a whole thread about it earlier this summer. I had the DC mod done on my amp and couldn't be happier.

    Here's the thread:

Here's my demo I recorded afterwards:

Let me know if you have any questions.

I said it before, yet it bears repeating... Great sounding rig, and wicked playing!
Glad you're happy with your setup.

ledvedder.... Hope you get your gear happening the way you want it to. That voodoo mod seems pretty amazing.

I am loving the way it sounds! There's 2 things that I'm looking into. The Voodoo mod to fix the volume jump between channels 1 and 2. And a Nova System, or some other midi capable unit, to channel switch and add effects. I'm getting tired of doing the pedal dance.

There's a video on Yt of a guy with just the same ideas, regarding the setup. I believe he used a blue EBMM guitar, a 5150III amp, and a Line 6 multi f/x pedal. If I remember right, he didn't have the Voodoo mod done to the amp. He simply compensated for the volume jump between channels by adjusting the input/output levels on the Line 6 patches, while switching channels on the amp via MIDI.

All desired effects were also added accordingly.

It does. This might be exactly what I'm looking for. It seems complicated at first, but once it's set, it seems to work great!

I was thinking the same thing. Seems pretty elaborate and daunting at first. The guy has a beauty sound though!
Totally forgot about that video until you mentioned the volume drop issues plus adding effects.

Wouldn't it be funny if the crib was just an elaborate guitar stand?! LOL
