    Default Sam Talks F.U.C.K.

I sensed a tinge of sadness when he started talking about Right Now.

I think when we take sides here we all forget that these guys are still human. I really think that for a moment Sam was sad and hurt that his relationship with Ed has turned out to be what it is now - nothing.

All the money in the world doesn't fix this stuff. I like the CVH era better, but for once lately I actually felt bad for Sam because I sensed a genuine sadness that his relationship with Ed is what it is now.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

I don't know, I think he's just proud of Right Now. Not sure if he was remembering Ed, their.

Does this mean he won't talk about the record next year...on the 25th anniversary? Since he got it out of the way now.

They made some great music together. No matter what went down, there was a magical musical connection between Sammy and Eddie. I miss their magic.

I sensed a little sadness here...but to me seemed more about the timeframe and stuff about his ex-wife mostly going through a hard time. I didn't really get much about his relationship w Eddie. I'm sure he's sad about that deep down though.

He's right to be proud of the record imo. My favorite Van Hagar album by a mile. Love every song on it.

Spanked is an underrated song. It is a great commentary on the 1-900 craze of the 90s. Very cool song.

I've always liked Spanked too. Never got the negativity for it.
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)

"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)

"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen

"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen

"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney

He's very proud, and of course, very sad how things have happened with ed. they had it all back then. That album had the best production any VH album had, before or after.
It will be 25 years next year...it would be great if ed could go down memory lane about it, but the sam era is a dead issue with VH now.
It's now up to us fans to keep these albums alive. I play this album regurely. It's a 5 out of 5 and the best period VH ever had. I'd love to jump in a time machine and relive those years again

"I am in a blissful state. Dont bug me!!!" - Richard Dreyfuss "The Goodbye girl" 1977

24 years. Man I still remember buying that sucker. Was going to Navy school in Orlando. Went to school from 7pm to 7am every day so got my liberty card at 8am and waited until 9:00am to walk to the mall. Got to the mall drenched in sweat since it was about 85 degrees with 100% humidity. Walked back and and listened to it for about 3 hours. Probably lost about 10lbs that day

It's not a bad album, but FUCK is my least favorite Hagar era record. There's some classic tracks on it but I rarely put this one on and listen all the way through, Man on a Mission , Pleasure Dome, Spanked, In and Out....too many duds IMO. The good songs are REALLY good though.

Not a fan of Al's sound (not his playing) on this album too. Flat and thin IMO. Actually, Balance is the only Hagar era album that I love Al's drum sound. Full, loud and powerful.

This album has too much Hagar, not enough Van Halen for my taste. But the record was a huge hit so what the fuck do I know lol
