    Cool Dear Wolfie......

Just returned from a week at the beach. As usual my Ipod was going 75% of the time I was on the beach. For some reason I just kept gravitating towards ADKOT.Once in a while I would crank up the new Satch record. But for the most part I just kept listening to the ADKOT in order (I usually just keep my Ipod on shuffle). Just a kick ass VH record.I will be at both VH shows at Jones Beach,NY.If you decide to change up the setlist at the second show could you please throw in a few "deep cuts" from ADKOT.Maybe...As Is, Stay Frosty,Outta Space,or Big River !!!

    Agreed 100%!!!

Those tunes (in theory) should get some concert love. It's the only studio album with the current lineup, and many of those tunes would go over well, considering that this is pretty much a tour for the die-hards like us.

I hope we get to see a few of them spread out in the setlists for upcoming shows.

I'm so glad they cut "Tattoo" from the set list. They should replace "Chinatown" with "As Is" or "Outta Space".

To each their own, but I'd rather see 'Tattoo' than 'She's the Woman' again... I've always liked the song, and the Tokyo cd reminded me of how it's powerful in concert. Love how Ed improvs on the solos!

As Is would be a barnburner for sure. I can even imagine it as an opening number - drum/guitar noodling intro, fiery EVH riff, boogie groove, breakdown for Dave to rap with the crowd, killer outro w/singalong part for the audiences... La la la la, la la la la laaaaa

While I agree Tattoo was much better live, and I've also always liked the song, I'm glad it got dropped from this tour. STW and Chinatown flow pretty well in this set, especially since Dave is actually singing Chinatown close to the record this tour, and Wolf just went on record in an interview talking about it being one of his favorite tunes to play.

But, when they do a second show in the same town, it would be sweet to see them change it up a little bit. As Is is still one of my all time favorite tunes and I'd love to see that one played live eventually. Same with a bunch of tunes off that stellar album.

Chinatown needs to go from the set list. She's the Woman needs to stay. I liked Trouble With Never live in 2012, but I think a new song from ADKOT would be cool. Blood and Fire would be cool.

    Dear Wolfie,

Make the band have that guy yelling The Mighty Van Halen!!!!..... at the beginning of the shows as an intro I still cannot believe you guys do not do that Alex coming on randomly and just messing around just seems a little, well lets put it this way, because there is no intro, people are still pissing and lining up for beers and probably miss Light Up The Sky 60% of the time instead of running back to the seats lol.

She's The Woman is cool because it is a 1976 riff. I think As Is would be cool and it features Ed's more modern Drop D stuff he was upto in the late 2000's once in a blue moon, and clearly the band must remember it a bit cuz they were gonna play that and Light Up The Sky before all those dates were cancelled last tour.

They played Blood and Fire a few times on the '12/'13 tour(s). I have dvd bootleg footage of a couple.
It is a good song. I'd like to see it again on the list, but I'd rather see some other ADKoT tunes get dusted off first. Just to say that we've seen them played live.

My three choices from ADKOT are Stay Frosty, As Is and Honeybabysweetydoll. To me, they should have pushed Stay Frosty hard, lobbied for airplay and replaced ICM as their acoustic-intro, 12 bar blues boogie. It's got commercial all over it and people want to hear it. but, since they don't rehearse it, it's doubtful we'll hear it. The brothers did As Is in soundcheck last tour and did it well, so hopefully they will throw that in one night.
We train dogs for cattle and sheep herding. They're very different. Sheep are a lot like supermodels - they bunch together, they rattle very easily. Cattle are like drunks at a hockey game - two will want to fight: "Who are you and what's with your badge?"

Two of them will be like: "Leave them alone, let's go see the game." Another one is lost: "Where'd you guys go?" The dog has to deal with all of that. You work them off a whistle. It's the original video game.

I think HBSD would be a tough one to pull off, musically, due to all the whammy pedal effects etc. by both Ed & Wolf. Lots of places for a train wreck IMO.
Too bad, because it's probably one of the best tunes for Dave's lower range. I'd love to be proven wrong and see them do it!!!

As much as I appreciate Wolf's input as to what new songs get played on the new tour, I gotta imagine Dave has a major say in it too. These songs take practice, LOL. (Dave, you're the man, Love ya brother!!!)
