Dave is going for higher notes in EWS and nailing them. I think a lot of people just don't prefer his current approach to his former baritone range. Still, he isn't sucking. This guy said the setlist is weak on EWS? So far, he heard LUTS, RWTD, RD and EWS and this is a weak setlist? Who is this fuckin' guy?!

I went to his twitter page to check him out...he looks a guy that would enjoy doing a review from a Simon and Garfunkel concert instead of a Van Halen one.

This is St Louis and will be their roughest gig. STL is Hagar's adopted hometown and he plays to his biggest crowds there. I'm sure there are a more than a few 'plants' in the audience and on the web while this is going on. The weak setlist comment by this guy simply means there are no Van Hagar songs on the list. Let them, rant. They have a lot to be frustrated about these days. I only pity them.

Otherwise, Dave is looking back to his old self. The climate changes, travel, humdity and heat can zap someone's (and a 60 yo's at that) strength pretty easily and quickly. Rock on Van Halen!

My all time favorite song is getting some of the best versions ever by the band on this tour!

I pity any moron going to this tour who would actually say this setlist is weak.

Apparently he wants WIL, LWI, WCTBL, and Dreams.

I'm not slamming that material. But if you don't like what the boys are playing right now it stands to reason that you're a Hagar guy and want to hear that era's hits.

Which makes me wonder why you would go in the first place...
I don't always listen to hard rock, but when I do, I prefer Van Halen. Stay Frosty my friends.

Just to clarify, the setlists HAVE NOT changed, right? Setlist.fm omitted FYLT last night and tonight. Please tell me it hasn't been dropped.

That's what I don't get. Go to the Circle if those are the kind of tunes you want. Obviously VH ain't gonna play em.

Totally agree but funny to think there are very likely fans out there that truly have no idea only Dave songs would be played. Just casual fans not thinking :-)

Yeah and unless they just stepped out of a time machine, they have no excuse. I mean Hagar hasn't been in the band in what, 11yrs or so?

I was just thinking about this. If they were charging the same prices that they are now and it was Sam on the mike, I wouldn't go if they were going to play a bunch of stuff like WCTBL, LWI, WIL, Not Enough, CSLY, etc. I like those songs, I listen to them in the car, but I don't really want to shell out coin to hear them live.

Now, if they were to open with Poundcake, then play Summer Nights, 5150, Runaround, Amsterdam, etc, I'd be there in a second. That to me would be a strong set list - even though I'm a Dave guy I'd go to see that and admit that it was some strong tuneage and not try to bash it because it wasn't Dave and they weren't playing his stuff.
