Default Looking for Wolfgang pickups split samples

Been a Fender guy all my life, love my Wolfgang (it's now my #1) only thing is I miss the single coil sound sometimes. Anybody tap theirs or know of any example I can listen to?
Plus if you did the mod, did you add a toggle? I want to avoid a stacked pot because I really enjoy the low friction one on there.
    Thanks!

I used one of these http://www.freewayswitch.com/ It fits in the existing cavity and as the pickup wiring all terminates up there anyway, it's the cleanest and easiest way to do it. There's no additional drilling required and you retain the original pots. They sound awesome as single coils, you won't regret it.

Which model of switch did you use?

3x3 03 - seems to be the most common to give basic coil splitting depending on how you solder it in. I have it in it's simplest form, so I retain the standard humbucker combination mirrored in single coil on the other side of the switch. The middle postion coil split is such a beautiful clean tone. I'll take a few pics of the install when i'm home tonight, and if i'm in a reasonable playing groove, i'll do some samples.

Love to hear it. Especially on a Wolfgang

I split the coils on my Peavey Wolfgang. Sorry, no soundclips, but it is a good useable single coil sound, somewhere between a strat and a tele. I used these push/pulls:

    https://www.allparts.com/EP-5286-000...ot_p_1492.html

not as low friction as the standard Bourns pots, but pretty low. I used some pretty small gauge wire, as you have to run the coil split wires all the way up to the toggle switch.

Cool, looking forward to it. I wont be doing the work myself so I want to make sure I dig the sound first.

    Finally got around to it.

    1. Simple D & G thing, DI through Focusrite interface, no processing, 3 humbuckers from rear to front first, same with singles

    https://soundcloud.com/calfb/unprocessed

    2. Applied Dumble amp sim from Bias with mild gain

    https://soundcloud.com/calfb/dumble

    3. Single coil mid position through real Orange TH30 with SM57

    https://soundcloud.com/calfb/th30

    4. Sample of a ballad i'm working on that has mid position clean single coil for chords and through slight gain for first lead part, then rear humbucker high gain for second part. All through TH30 with SM57.

    https://soundcloud.com/calfb/balladsample

And a Steel Panther inspired thing we did a while back but never really finished

    Right on, Cal!
I just made a coffee and am starting to listen now...

    Very cool!
The first example really showed off the different sounds well, with a clean signal. Glad you cycled through the same progression to really highlight the tonal changes.

I also liked the Dumble app demo. The balled was my favorite - nice playing and chords. Dig the heavier parts as well, with the tapped harmonic and bend at the end of each motif. (That's what it sounded like!)

    Great job

P.S., the 'Steel Panther' inspired song wouldn't play for me...

Thanks CalFB, 3 +4 really sold me exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going to talk to my tech about having this done.
BTW, the SP clip didn't work for me either.

The SP type song should work now, but there's no single coil love in that one.
