    Default Minions Movie

My 8 year old son and I just came back from seeing the Minions Movie. The movie was peppered with some pretty good songs and there were even a couple he knew the words to. It is such a great feeling to see your kids sharing and enjoying music that has moved you in some way or fashion.

Near the end of the movie the minion Stewart was being rewarded for his bravery. He is handed a red and white strat looking guitar. He plays some mellow type sounding music then busts out in Eruption! My son looks at me and says that he knows that song. I laughed and told him he should Daddy has it on most of his play lists.

As soon as we got home he asked me to play it for him. It has been on repeat and has played through about 15 times as I sit and write this.

He really likes old disco because he loves to dance but he and I always sing the words to TNT together. It took some cute little yellow guys for him to want to listen to VH, though he does like Beautiful Girls. Pretty cool bonding moment for son and dad.

HE is still rocking out to it even as I finish this. Awesome, just awesome!

I dug the movie, Certainly better than DM2. The Eddie shredding at the end was a wonderful surprise.

The theater was packed and everyone got the Van Halen reference. It was nice to see Ed get a little love.

I watched this movie the other day with my nephews... They loved it. I fucking hated it. Drove me nuts, but the music in it was awesome. Must of cost them an absolute fortune in publishing.
If you have nothing nice to say about Eddie Van Halen, you're at the right website. - Me (A few years ago)

"People take Van Halen much more seriously than we do" - David Lee Roth (1980's)

"I don't sit on the end of your bed while you're trying to make a living" - David Lee Roth (1988)

"For some reason people love to complain about everything. The internet has made it easy for people to do that. Shut the fuck up and get a life, or show me how good you can do it."- Edward Van Halen

"A lot of people ask me which Van Halen singer was better. You can't compare them. It's like asking which guitarist is better. Nobody is better than anybody. Every player is their own person."-Edward Van Halen

"I do like Eddie Van Halen as a player. He gets it right quite often." -Paul McCartney

I hate all this Pixar, Disney animation crap.

I work with adults, many of them in the 40-50 range, and they love "Up"
and "Frozen" and Anime & Cosplay....

Adults that adopt kid orientated stuff, just annoy the shit outta me.

This one guy i work with, who writes a blog with film reviews, went on this rant
because the Lego Movie wasn't nominated for a certain award.

He was like, "The Academy should be in deep shame for slighting this film..."

I'm reading this, thinking, "Dude, you're 43 years old."

    Default Minions Movie

The Lego Movie was a total pos from everyone I know who actually bothered seeing it. My 10 year old daughter even hated it. I've never seen it but it looks awful.

There are very few of the Pixar movies that I have not liked. It is an absolute pleasure to sit there with my kids and watch them. Sometimes i've even watched one without the kids there.

I like the old, creepy Disney stuff, where you had old hags & midgets.

BTW I saw The Minions with my kids, they loved the film. I like it a little less, but it's because the minions get annoying after a couple of minutes.

The Batman Lego movie is a riot. Rowdy and funny as hell with all the parody.
