Hard to get too excited about the Circle considering how Sammy seems to jump from project to project. I hope they put out a dvd and then a full studio album of new material. But I won't hold my breath.

Sammy sounds unreal considering how old he is. Shit man, they guy doesn't seem to age and knows how to have fun. I wish I could have seen that show in Illinois last week, looks like it was a blast and they sounded great from the youtube videos I've seen.

Thanks for posting this concert! Milwaukee, WI was my stomping ground the first 24 years of my life, and Summerfest morphed over those years from family time down at the lakefront to underage drinking + debauchery + girls + music down at the lakefront, lol... Many great times at the one and only, Summerfest!

In 2015, is there anyone out there that can sing "Whole Lotta Love" better than Sammy? I don't think even Plant can sing it that well. Impressive.

To bad "Dave or the graver's" can't enjoy a great show like this. Sammy should sing DTNA just to piss Eddie off

Seriously? You want to turn this into a meatball donut thread when no one has made even a hint of talking about anything other than The Circle?

    Congratulations. I guess you succeeded.

Ummm... Yeah looks like I certainly succeeded? This is not main. And if you read what i wrote it says it's to bad ALL vh fans can't enjoy the Circle. And it's no secret Sammy could sing DTNA and give the song life. But thanks for trying to censor my comment to what you find

I remember when the Other Half toured, I saw Mikey sing Runnin' With the Devil and Somebody Get me a Doctor. I have no interest in Sammy singing early Van Halen tunes unless he is playing with Van Halen. Why would he? He and Van Halen produced a string of great and popular songs that many people miss hearing. He's clearly picked out some of his favorites to play with the Circle. I wish he would expand the list a bit, but I am happy with the selection.

What I feel is that sometimes these guys misread what their fans want. OK, WCTBL, Poundcake and FWYS are good songs - but we've heard them ENOUGH. There's no need to keep playing the same 5-10 songs over and over again. When I hear Sam do the LZ songs, that's when I get excited. It may not be a new song, but it's still something fresh being created. Celebrating 40 years of rock... how about creating some new stuff instead? Sam still has the juices to try new things.

That's what bugs me about Sammy. He's so hit-focused that he ignores a huge chunk of his VH songs (isn't that what he accuses VH of doing to those songs :-)

I get in The Circle it's mostly hits from his career (plus LZ songs). So makes sense but he always only plays the hits. Wonder if he's played 5150 since leaving VH?

Might be more a limitation of what Vic can do. I mean the guy butchers WIL, can you imagine him attempt 5150?

That having been said, there's is more in the catalog they could play. CSLY, 7th Seal, black n blue, these could all be done and a few more
