Default Eddie's best solo ever live

Something a little more "lighthearted" around here would be nice.

What do you say was Eddie's greatest live solo he pulled off? I'm not talking about his unaccompanied solo, but one in a song.

I am a die-hard Classic Van Halen fan, but for me, the solo he pulls off in "Summer Nights" in Live without a net, to me, is so fucking tasty, and grooves so fucking ridiculously hard, I would consider it the best.

    And, go!

I've always loved the solo he pulls off on Summer Nights from LWAN as well, everyone seems to always gravitate towards his 5150 solo from that performance but the Summer Nights solo really grabbed me when I first heard it.

My favorite would be 5150 from LWAN:

Eddie's solo on "Rock n Roll" from Farm aid in 1985 was pretty amazing as well

I personally love the beautiful, melodic, and majestic solo Eddie provided to Eagles Fly on the Balance tour.

    So many to choose from!

The 5150 LWAN solo is killer!

The solos in I'm the One, of course.

    Ice Cream Man solo! WHEW.

House of Pain, just for the screams and dive bombs!

If I go off of a live performance that has video, I think the Big Fat Money intro Solo in Toronto 1995 was kick ass.

Ya his Summer Nights jam not just on LWAN but other shows on that tour were great as well as the jam in the song 5150. I thought he did a cool job trying to play all three or four guitar parts in Humans Being on their 1998 tour that solo was awesome.

I like the solo in 5150 where he goes to his "Cathedral" delay in the beginning and then just rips it up after that.
The only genre I really know is Van Halen.

It is a great EVH solo!
I've always liked the song as well. It has a lot of different feels to it - pun intended. Haha.

I agree that it's a cool album closer. The extended rideout towards the end really conveys the emotion and caps off the vibe of the song IMO.
