I agree that the setlist is killer ... for us diehards. I do wonder how it will translate to the casual fan ... but for now I'm stoked to hear these deep cuts. I hope poor sales/attendance don't force them to go back to playing the standards. I can't thank Wolfie enough for dusting off these rare tunes. He's just as much a fan of the music as we are ... but now he gets to play it.

It's a bold move on their part, to dump the "Pretty woman's" and add a "Dirty Movies."
This is a warm gesture to the diehards, and as a long time fan, i appreciate it.
The fact they all agreed & let Wolf be creative in song choices, that is just a really
    cool thing.

I love it, but i'm hoping it doesn't hurt them in ticket sales.

I keep hearing things like "the casual fan won't enjoy the deep cuts" and "poor attendance."

All I can say is, last night at the White River, the entire crowd was jacked up and raucous, and it was near capacity. We will see how the tour goes, but as much as some may want this tour to flounder, I have a feeling our band is going to do just fine. And I don't see the deep cuts going anywhere, unless they are replaced with other deep cuts. Sometimes I don't think we give enough credit to the "casual fans".

Yeah, Chinatown is the only piss break song, maybe I'll Wait too.

I somewhat agree on Chinatown, but totally disagree on I'll Wait.

China Town is one of my fav on ADKOT. But I don't care much for it live since somewhat a struggle.

killer set for sure. I thought about the deep cuts vs casual fan. But what did they have to drop for the deep cuts?

    Pretty Woman, ok
    Jamie's Cryin' - not sure they've played since 1984
    Cradle? - maybe
HAIL ? more of a concert favorite, ok.
    Mean Street?

Yes, thank you Wolf. Great set list indeed, I'm looking forward to the concert that I'm attending even more now than before. Can't wait!

Good riddance to PW. Cradle they did quite a bit both of the last two tours, and it's not that huge of a song for them. Jamie's Cryin was a regular on the 2007 tour. HAIL is a deep cut itself. All of these are expendable, as they aren't "regulars", except for PW. I was really surprised, and elated, they finally dropped it.

And, remember they did other deep cuts nightly last tour, GGB and OLA, so they were essentially replaced with new deep cuts for this tour.

Oh, and they also dropped Tattoo and TTWN from ADKOT. So, in reality, save for PW, they didn't really drop any huge hits by adding these great deep cuts to the set.

Chinatown is just so-so live. I'd like to hear Big River given a shot live.

I'd like to hear As Is live. That song kicks ass on ADKOT.

He blocked me too, after posting three tweets with suggestions. I wonder if the block is only during the tour or is going to be indefinitely? Do you think he reads this forum? He reads his twitter account for sure.

I suggested to Wolf to replace "China Town" with "The Trouble With Never" . They did both songs in the last tour and Dave couldn't keep up with the band on "China Town", and based on the videos from this tour so far, he still can't, but "The Trouble With Never" came out really good.

I don't know. Ridgefield was one of the very few times where Dave sang almost all the words correctly on China Town.
