    Happy Canada Day!!!

Was just talking about this with the gf... I saw VH for the first time "today" in 1993, at the Canada Day festival at Molson Park, in Barrie Ontario.
Front row center!!! Touched Sammy and Mike, and was about 5 feet away from King Edward.

One of the best days of my life. I'll never forget it.
    Cheers

i was at that show - likely just feet from you since i was also in the front row. It's the reason i'll never attend another show with unreserved seating again. What a clusterfuck that was.

Happy Canada day by the way.

    Very cool!!!

Any pics or footage from that show? I've been trying to find some quality stuff but with no luck. I almost want to go to some Vince Neil, Alannah Myles, Kim Mitchel, Jayhawks sites - just to see if any of those fans recorded anything!!! LOL

Similar to It's Mike, I was also at that show...they were on fire!

Also a fun time as (the night before) my buddy got turfed from a bar (The Rox) as some idiot was trying to pick a fight w/ him. Reportedly I decided that I should defend my buddy and tackled the guy trying to attack him. I to was removed from the bar. I say 'reportedly' as I was overserved that night. Good times.

nope, nothing from me. I guess that was just before the days of phones and good small cameras. Not that a camera would have likely survived being hosed down by security, lol. It was so hot that day that they had to hose the crowd down from the stage a few times. What a mess that day was. I remember that day like it was yesterday. We met some girls I went to high school with and we basically had to stand in front of us so they didn't get crushed by the crowd. I figured we were gonna get thrown out half way through VHs set when I dropped some drunk who was behind us. First time I've ever left a VH show early - we left before the encore (I remember hearing Rockin in the Free World as we were leaving the park).

That was one of the best experiences for me. My buddy and I went the afternoon before. There was a parking lot that they let you stay in overnight, you were just not allowed tents or fires so we bbq'd and slept in the car. We arrived just as sound check was starting so we started our evening sitting in lawn chairs listening to the band crank some songs out for about 20 minutes. A short time after they finished they went by all of us in a tour bus of sorts on their way to the cottage Alex had in the area (or his wife of the time's family...can't remember exactly who had the cottage.) We could see them clear as day sitting in the window, pointing at all of us idiots in the parking lot. But wow was that day hot! I remember people firing water bottles at Vince Neil's band during their whole set. I was actually pretty impressed by his set... "They're my fucking songs too!" as the band starting wailing away on Kickstart My Heart. Awesome day!
