Default A little fact about the "Balance" tour....

Apart from "The Seventh Seal' and 'Right now" being the bulk of the tour openers, another 6 songs took turns as being show openers, on one or more occasions.
    They were -
    Big fat money
    Don't tell me
    Aftershock
    Amsterdam
    Panama and
    Aint talkin' bout love

"Dont disturb my paradise. I've asked you once. I've asked you nice" - "SERIOUS JU JU"

The last time I ever saw Van Halen with Sammy was back in October of 1995 at the former Blockbuster Pavilion in Devore, CA (the same site where the US Festival was held in May of 1983). I'm pretty sure they opened with "Right Now". We got tickets through a friend in the 5th row for $100. Good times ...

^^^Big Fat Money is an underrated song.

I saw the Balance tour 3 X. They opened with Seventh Seal twice and Right Now once. They mistakenly started the keyboard tracks for Mine All Mine and then stopped it and switched to Right Now. Honestly, I was disappointed that Eddie and Alex couldn't go with the flow and do the song. I know Sammy and Mike could.

I saw three shows that tour:

    Seventh Seal opened in March

BFM opened in July (first night)

    Seventh Seal (second night)

Great tour. The second and third shows I saw were way better than the show I saw early in the tour.

1995 was a really fun Van Halen year (96 not so much)

I believe 7th Seal for me but I was pretty drunk lol

the seventh seal opened most shows on the first leg of the tour, when they came around in the summer they mixed up the opening number so if you didn't see them in the summer you saw a show that opened with seventh seal.

I opened a 7th seal one time in 1987. What ended up happening was a rainbow appeared over my house with Ted Nugent riding a unicorn, carrying a box of spicy chicken from Popeyes. Ted had a thunderous voice saying he would conger Shelia E's, "fun bags".
The unicorn farted sprinkles as they descended down the other side of the rainbow.

That was some strange shit that day.

7th Seal, Amsterdam and Right Now were show openers at the shows I went to.

I'd like to see a clip of "Big Fat Money" being played as the first song... This was talked about before on here. I just don't "feel" that one as a concert opener, even though I like the song.
    2nd in the set? Sure.

Spring of 95 at the Palace; Seventh Seal
Late summer 95 at Pine Knob; Big Fat Money
By the way, both shows were easy sellouts. They played two nights at the palace then 4-5 months later two nights at Pine Knob....pretty impressive stat.
